Pixar’s Wall-E is a heartwarming story about a lonely little robot left alone and dejected by humans. After hundreds of years of compacting trash, he developed a charming personality and was love struck by a search robot named Eve. This triggers an exciting and beautiful journey across the galaxy in search of her. Wall-E is part love story, part sci-fi, and part adventure, which all coincide to form a masterpiece. Pixar’s Wall-E has a run time of 98 minutes, so it is not too long but not too short.

Wall-E is an award-winning movie that incorporates a beautiful love story with complimentary harmonies while appealing to all ages, perfect for ABC Ipic’s movie night. Starting out, Wall-E combines a great soundtrack with quirky and cute robot beeps that combine to create a beautiful story. The soundtrack and sounds are so great that Wall-E can get away with having very little dialogue, a feat not easily accomplished.

David Ansen from Newsweek wrote “Wall-e doesn’t have a lot of dialogue, but it has an amazing soundtrack… Even more important is the contribution of Ben Burtt, the sound and character-voice designer who manages to turn the bleeps and pings of Wall-E and Eve into the touching language of love” (par. 5). It truly is beautiful and extremely entertaining to watch robots communicate with very little dialogue, which brings out the importance of the soundtrack, where Wall-E does not fall short. Even better, Pixar’s Wall-E has won many prestigious awards.

Wall-E is an all-around work of art, every aspect of entertainment and joy mastered to the fullest. The Baguette of the New York Times reported “Wall-E… was named best picture by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, the first time the group has bestowed such an honor on an animated film” (par. 1). Best picture is the most prestigious award and only handed out to all around great films, which proves that Wall-E is a truly beautiful animated journey. Wall-E has won over 30 other awards from various groups and award ceremonies.

Most importantly, Wall-E received an Oscar while being nominated in five other categories. When it comes to awards, Wall-E has quite the resume, and proves that this little robot is, at the very least, a very entertaining and well-made movie. More importantly, Wall-E has the ability to connect with people of all ages. Since families will be viewing this title, it can be enjoyed by the children and adults alike. Richard Corliss of Time Magazine wrote “…the movie should connect with audiences of all ages because it stars the most adorable little trash-bot ever” (par. 5).

This proves that this cute little trash-bot can be loved by the entire family and is a perfect title for ABC’s movie night. Wall-E isn’t just adorable to the audience, but also proves to provide quite a love story that everyone will love. Most importantly, Wall-E follows a heartwarming, uncommon love story that a robot defies the odds to gain the love of an unlikely partner. A. O. Scott of The New York Times claimed “If Wall-E were a romantic comedy, it would be about a humble garbage man who falls for a supermodel who also happens to be a top scientist with a knack for marksmanship” (par. ).

Everyone enjoys a story in which an unlikely man goes to great odds to win the heart of a beautiful, sophisticated woman. Furthermore, romance is a great tool to bring families together, especially for a dinner movie night. Wall-E’s love story is truly heart felt and beautiful. For example, Dave Ansen of Newsweek writes “But when this trash compacter nudges his rusty forehead against Eve’s smooth white metal brow, you’d have to be a machine for your heart not to melt” (par. ). It is amazing to have your heart touched by two robots falling in love and is something that everyone will enjoy at the ABC Ipic movie dinner. In conclusion, Wall-E is a perfect choice for ABC’s Ipic movie night. Wall-E is an award winning film with a great soundtrack that builds a beautiful love story between robots and appeals to people of all ages. Anyone loves to watch an unlikely hero defy the odds and become victorious, and Wall-E hits the nail on the head with that one.

From the perfect run time to a Best Picture award, Wall-E is the perfect choice for a movie night with families. Wall-E will leave everyone happy and even provide a bit of romance for all of the couples who attend!
