When you are addressing certain information it is imperative to be alert and conscious of your listeners. It is very important that you be able to provide the proper context, tone, and language suitable to the audience you are addressing. It is also significant to know your audience because it will eventually help you determine the issues you have to address. Communicating effectively is a major role when you are called to lecture a meeting that includes stakeholders, managers, salespeople, and customers in a quarterly meeting.
The communication channels will have to be appropriate for your audience and in the meeting we have to consider the diversity of the group also. Communicating in this meeting you have to make sure that your message is effective and the group is well informed about the quarterly sales in the meeting. In a presentation that includes a group of individuals you must consider the different characteristics of the audience. Your audience may consist of different people who may have different needs and expectations.
It may be useful to consider the possible areas of diversity in an audience such as age, gender, ethnicity, race, cultural background, and education. You can also consider the Psychological profiles of your audience such as their beliefs, values may help improve your message, may be of significance as you shape your message. You might also think about other factors that could affect your presentation include the time, audience size, location and occasion of the talk. Knowledge is power so you will have a good deal of practical wisdom when you approach this group in your meeting. If you decides to use any of these when presenting your information in the meeting make sure you use and define all practical terms that are complete and accurate.

In the meeting you will have to access the information effectively and efficiently and also be able to evaluate the necessary information that you incorporate to the entire group. That is why each individual should be able to response in a positive manner by being able to think before they speak. Each culture should understand morally how to communicate with each other’s culture and be responsible for their own behavior. That is why each organization should establish moral principles and core values among their employee.
A diverse audience is an audience that doesn’t have a familiar set of characteristics that came from all walks of life. You have to consider the different beliefs, values, needs, styles, and attitudes. You will have to prepare yourself to identify the diverse needs. You can consider speaking clearly and slowly so everyone can comprehend you message. Speak at a normal tone and use breaks in between the flow of your message. Always be clear and concise when delivering your message. There are many ways to ensure that your message is effective. One way is to know who your audience is and what they want to hear.
When presenting information you have to use appropriate words, body language, and eye contact. “You need to be ready both physically and psychologically. You need to have enough rest the night before the speaking. A tired speaker will never give a good impression since the tiredness will come out when you speak. The brain will not be able to think what to talk or to handle strenuous situation” (Somchai, 2007, par 1). You have to be able to communicate effectively so the audience can comprehend and understand the message. You should have a great opening body and closing when presenting a message.
In the body of your message you can communicate with all your facts and details. Finally in your closing, you can sum up everything with clarity and consistency in the meeting. This will help make any message become alive and effective in a meeting. In conclusion, communicating effectively is a major role when you are called to lecture a meeting that includes stakeholders, managers, salespeople, and customers in a quarterly meeting. The communication channels will have to be appropriate for your audience and in the meeting we have to consider the diversity of the group also.
