Each year in the United States, an estimated seventy million animals are hurt and killed in the name of science by private institutions, household products and cosmetics companies, government agencies, educational institutions, and scientific centers(Buzzel.com).Animal testing is immoral and unreliable. Innocent animals should not be treated badly and caused pain for the sake of a human’s safety. Many people think animal testing is good while others think it is wrong. I think it is completely and absolutely wrong.
Some people argue that humans are not necessarily superior to animals, so why should animals be experimented on and made to suffer to protect human beings? Researchers should find alternative ways to get better results. The term “animal testing” refers to procedures performed on living animals for the purpose of research. Animal testing is used for the basic biology and diseases, assessing the effectiveness of new medical products and testing the human health and/or environmental safety of consumers and industry products.
Scientists and medical researchers say that animal testing will increase knowledge about the way the human body works and help them find cures for certain disease such as cancer. I do not believe that for a second. According to a board -certified doctor Ray Creek “The simplest explanation is that animal experiments provide misleading data. At best, they tell us a good deal about how animals experience disease, but they rarely tell us something of value that can be applied to humans. Animal tests provide additional data, but not a higher level of accuracy.” So What good is it going to do us to use animals to test medicines on if it’s not even helping
Animal testing should be stopped because it it is immoral and violates the rights of animals.” Animal research routinely systematically violates the rights of animals and we can no more justify harming and killing an animal that we can justify harming and killing a human…
