Baseball is a sport that we as American have played since the early 1800s - Baseball vs Football introduction. This is why I thank we call it the American favorite pastime. Hopefully I can influence you to play baseball instead of football. Here are some of them; baseball is played in the summer time when the weather is great, warm nights and long days. But that does not stop the American people from loving the both game; some people love those type of weather. Whether it’s cold or hot both games are fun to watch. But I thank that it would be better to sit on a warm day with no weather compilation and watch a baseball game than to sit in the cold freezing weather watching a football game. Whether it is Baseball or Football we all have different views on witch one is America favorite pass time. Analyzing attendance, ticket costs, revenue from television, salaries, venues, will help to present a case for which sport is number one in the United States. Here is one factors will help determine which sport is more beloved by Americans. The one factor is Attendance, “One way to determine whether baseball or football is more popular in America is by looking at how many people go to the games. During the year 2000, the average crowd at a baseball game was 30,125, while the average crowd at a football game was 66,077. This figure is based on a total yearly attendance, divided by the total number of games that were played in the sport.

Simply based upon this one factor, it would appear that twice as many people went to football games than to baseball games in that particular year”. By looking at that football looks like the clear winner right; but football only plays 15 games and baseball has 120 games or more so you get a lot more time to see a baseball game than football. Ticket Costs, “an aspect which can contribute to the popularity of a sport is ticket cost. An important question is: how affordable is it for the average family in America to go to a live sporting event?

Pertaining to this factor, baseball is more accessible and potentially more popular overall with average, to below-average income earning American families. Baseball games, in the year 2000, cost $20. 02, while football games cost an average of $54. 14. Clearly, live baseball is easier to afford than live football, and watching games live is an experience that can create a lot of fans and generate plenty of excitement for a particular sport”. Television Revenue, Salaries, and Venues are some of the others that might help you deciding but this is just a decision you will have to make on your own.

I think that the affordability is the main thing to most American being able to pay for a ticket for the family to see a baseball game means more to them, and you get to see more games for the price of one football game ticket. But let look at the thing that makes them different from one another and what makes one of them safer than the other one. The games of baseball you can say is a much laid back sport you don’t have to do a lot of physical hard work to play this sport. In the game of baseball you are trying to out think the other person. So therefore I think that it is more mental than physical.

On the other hand football is totally different, you are physically using your body more and in turn this produces more injuries to your body. Both games have some similarity to them, offence and defense. But if you know both games one is very violent and the other is not. The game that is violent is football. Tackling is a part of the game so your body has to hit the ground a lot, we all know that ground is hard as a rock in the winter! Now hitting the ground real hard can cause a concussion (head injuries), and other bodily injuries if not for the ground being so hard when you are throwing your body adjunct someone else’s body.

Baseball does not have all of the body throwing and the hard ground. During the summer when baseball is being played the ground is not that hard at all it kind of gives a little not much but just a little. So therefore you don’t sustain as many serious injuries as you do when playing football. With all this information I have given you I truly think that more American should play baseball. So the next time you sign your son or daughter up for any sport that they can play for a long time keep baseball in mind it is more safer and it is considered to be the American sport.
