On a scale of 1-7 (1 being the best and 7 being the worst) we gave our opinion on different areas saying how clean it was and how it made you feel etc

To see whether redeveloping the west pier area would bring more people towards that end of Brighton and to see how many people use the pier

By standing with our backs too the sea and counting how many people travelling east and west over a period of time in several places.

solved by counting for half the time then double our results

Land use mapping

To see what services are available along the coast and to see how wealthy the coast is. To see what competition there would be created when the West pier is redeveloped.

Writing down the names of the buildings and shops along the coast. This was done at sea level and at road level.

Difficult fitting in with every thing and some building hard to spot what it was so it was difficult to graph them

Seeing if any one else managed to see what it was. Spending more time filling it out and finding names
