Computers have actually transformed our lives- how we communicate, how we could work and learn things and even how we play. Computers are efficient tools in processing data into useful information. They are essential tools in almost every field of research and applied technologies because of their capabilities. Being computer literate it can give anyone great competitive advantages.

One example of technology is internet, widely used for everyone and popular. Everything can be known in the internet.

It is an international network access which serves people by giving information through web access. Example of internet is website which is a collection of web pages, images, information and other digital asset that is hosted one or more web serves usually accessible via internet. KTV Bar is a term in Chinese being used to call a place for fun where you can sing your heart out, Karaoke w/ different variety of songs to choose from is the main attraction of the place, and mostly it was merely a room with different type like VIP, family room and rooms for large number of people.

A transaction processing system is a type of information system. TPSs collect, store, modify, and retrieve the transactions of an organization. A transaction is an event that generates or modifies data that is eventually stored in an information system. The essence of a transaction program is that it manages data that must be left in a consistent state if an electronic payment is made, the amount must be both withdrawn from one account and added to the other; it cannot complete only one of those steps. Either both must occur, or neither. In case of a failure preventing transaction completion, the partially executed transaction must be rolled back by the TPS.

Transactions generally involve an exchange of money, it is critical that the data be protected during transmission and stored carefully so that it cannot be altered. It is also critical that the data be saved so that managers can verify the data if any conflicts arise. Also, the sales and purchase data from the foundation of the accounting and financial systems of every company, so the system must be able to produce the standard reports.

Abstract
Computerized Reservation System for KTV Bar with Point of Sale Now a day the growth of technology keeps on increasing not noticing that it is now way more than what people expected, many types of business firms are now arising and is now subject to getting a way more easier and time efficient Point of Sale System that can help their business and it’s employee’s to be more productive, maximize it’s working time to much more effective way for the continues business growth. These system aims to put forward managing the occupancy of its KTV room space, much more efficient way of treating customers, monitoring of rooms that are available would be no longer that hard.

We the proponents decide to make a Computerized Reservation System for KTV Bar with Point of Sale, we notice the lack of accuracy when it comes to checking the vacancy rooms, also to eliminate the chance of giving the wrong information to the customers and also when it comes to payment it would be much easier to process.

The System that has been developed by the proponents will provide the KTV Bar’s a more consistent, effective & reliable way when it comes to transaction and would also generate a report regarding the earnings of their business firm, this system also provide the customers the complete receipt or records of what they have consume accurately.

Introduction

1.1 Statement of the Problem
Based on the research conducted, the proponent found out that the problem is on how will the proposed System help the KTV management and its staff to have an excellent service and at the same time monitor customer’s bill?

1.1.1 General Problem
How to create a Computerized Reservation System for KTV Bar with Point of Sale?
1.1.2

Specific Problems
•How to create a module that will manage customer reservation? This is to avoid the customer from consuming unnecessary time waiting for the availability of the room in their chosen date of reservation.

•How to create a module that will manage the time spent and the room being occupied by the customer?
This module is created to handle guest time being spent by having the option of extending time and also the availability of changing room if the guest wants to.

1-1

•How to create a module that will reduce time and effort in searching for room availability?
The KTV Bar’s customer experience wrong information being
given because of the current manual way of reserving and checking rooms that are still not occupied and because of that reason more time is being waste just to check if there are still available rooms for the customers

•How to create a module that will generate a sales report?
Generation of report has been a big missing factor in this type of company or business firm which as we all knows is very time consuming and also has the chance of getting wrong results or info from reports due to bulk of papers being review and check manually.

•How to create a module that will lessen the time being used in processing & generating customer’s bill?

One of what needs to be considered are on how customer’s bill can be process
in a much faster and accurate way not making the customers wait longer than what they expected to, cause it might just bring them in a conclusion that the Company’s service is far from what they have in mind.

• How to create a module that will eliminate the chance of the data’s being lost or damaged?

As we all know KTV Bar still used awkward way of storing file, they print it out or just write it down and now store it in an old fashioned way using file cabinets which can cause cluttered area, can eat unnecessary areas in the office.

1.2 Current State of Technology
Almost all KTV Bar’s still used manual way of serving customer’s starting from accommodation which the 1st process is walk-in talk to the HR ask for assistance followed by the way of reservation of customer’s through call, getting the needed customers information like number of people that would be occupying the room, type of room that they want to get accommodated with and writing down the full details through the use of pen and a logbook, which sooner will be fully occupied and force you to buy one.

The next one is designated assignment of rooms and the last one the manual way of accumulating or computing all the bills the customer has consumed, the business firms still used papers and pencils in writing down schedule and of course poor manual monitoring of time using logbooks that can also cause lapses and time mismanagement, in billing process most KTV Bar’s still used calculator, and usually monthly reports are being reviewed and computed manually which is very time consuming and the way they store reports are still old fashioned storing it in a file cabinet.

Sample of a KTV Bar that still uses manual way of reserving and payment module is the Center Stage Family KTV & Resto located at Jupiter Place Bldg. 136-138 Jupiter Street, Bel-Air Makati City they also served food, they have several type of room which is small, big, medium, presidential and sala room.

System for KTV Bar with
Point of Sale

3.0 Computerized Reservation System for KTV Bar with Point of Sale 3.1 Introduction
Computerized Reservation System for KTV Bar with Point of Sale is designed to ease the problem with regards to the manual system. The Developers developed a system that focuses more on the Reservation module. The System has provided a user friendly interface for easier access to primary object like the food information such as prices and room specifications.

The Developers developed a Reservation System with Point of Sale to provide more easy access to information and documents for faster and accurate computation of sales and generating reports. The proposal has focused in developing a system that monitors the Reservation of the rooms. In this chapter includes the Data Flow Diagram of the proposed system, the structured software designed technique, the relationship of each entity with each other.

3.2 System Design Specification
3.2.1 Data Flow Diagram (DFD)
Data Flow Diagram is a graphical representation of the “flow” of data through an information system and it can also be used as the (structured design). It is the context in which data is taken. Data Flow Diagram examines transferring data from one form to another called process, data holding areas for date called data sources. Data flow diagram containing a group of
symbol that are link together with lines.

3.2.2 Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD)
Entity Relationship Diagram also called Entity Relationship model. It is a graphical representation of entities and their relationship to each other typical use of computing in regard of organization of data within database or information system. ERD is graphical expressing the logical structure of database and has own set symbol with predefined uses. The entity relation created during the design of the database. There are Three Types of entities relationship

•One-to-one
One-to-one relationship occurs when there is exactly one record in the first table that corresponds to exactly one record in the related table. For example in the database of employees each employee name (A) its associated with only one social security number (B).

•One-to-Many
One-to-many relationship occurs when one entity is related to many occurrences in the entity. For example the company, all employees working in one building name (A) is associated with many different employees (B) but those employees shares the same singular associated with entity A.

3-2

•Many-to-Many
Many-to-many relationships occur when each record in Table A may have linked records in Table B and vice-versa. For example Many-to-many OR M: M is used to relate many records in the table A with many records in the table B. A record (‘parent’) in Table A can have many matching records (‘children’) in Table B, and record (‘child’) in Table B can have many matching records (‘parents’) in Table A.

•3.2.3 Hierarchical Plus Input-Process-Output (HIPO)
Hierarchical Input Process Output (HIPO) is a technique for planning or documenting a computer program. A HIPO model consists of a hierarchy chart that graphically represents that program’s control structure and a set of IPO (Input-Process-Output) charts that describe that inputs to, the outputs from, and the functions or processes to perform by each module on the hierarchy chart. HIPO consists of their distinct types:

•IPO detail Diagram
A detail diagram is low-level IPO charts that shows how specific input and output date elements or data structures are linked specific processed. In effect, the designer integrates a system a system flow chart into the overview diagram to show the flow of date and control through the module.

3-3

•IPO Overview Diagram
An overview diagram is a high-level IPO cart that summarizes the inputs to, processes or tasks performed by, and outputs from a module, are used to identify the physical devices that generate the inputs and accept the outputs.

These diagrams enable to define and operation hierarchy manner, processing and Output steps with integrated whole expressed in the visual table contents.

3.3 Summary
The Developers developed a system that focuses more on the reservation module and point of sale. The System provides a user friendly interface for easier access, the room’s information such as prices and room specifications. 5.1 Recommendations
These are the modules that we recommend that the future researchers should implement. •

Barcode Type of Point of Sales
Transactions would definitely be promptly if it has barcode type of sales and would lessen the effort of an individual in searching from loads of items in their inventory.

•Credit Card or Checks for Payments
We also recommend the future researchers to try developing a module that would accept Credit Card/Check for payments. Most of the companies now use this as a module of payments and if the future researchers could end up with this module, transactions would definitely be effective and well organized.
