The Crime Rate Depends on The City and Area

Table of Content

American Intercontinental University Virgin Ramose think that one neighborhood or city has more crime than another because of the varying factors. For example, one neighborhood or city could be much bigger than another. Bigger neighborhoods and cities mean more people, and more people mean more money to steal and more people to hurt. Smaller neighborhoods and cities mean less people, not to mention less money.

The bigger neighborhoods and cities tend to be those with more money. Another factor is that the law is not as enforced in some areas as it is in others, which allows criminals to commit crimes easily. Also, bigger cities are usually the ones with big companies are established. This is a very nice target for certain criminals looking for trouble. Another is that, again, the bigger the area, the more people there are.

These people could be future members of gangs and other criminal groups. Lastly, it is harder for officials to determine who you are in a large sea of people: “It’s easier to be anonymous”. I personally believe that individuals within low-crime neighborhoods commit rimes because there are not really many witnesses around to see anything happen. Plus, in small areas, everyone knows everyone, which the criminal could use to his advantage.
