The Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombing (factual-against)The tragedy of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki was an event of two sides. Although it was meant to end World War II, the Atomic Bomb was created for one purpose, even more killing and destruction. The bomb’s dropping was introduced from a complex presence of military, domestic, and diplomatic pressures along with concerns. One major factor included the resuling attack of the Japanese on Pearl Harbor in 1941. The popular view during the 1950s and 1969s, told by President Harry S.
Truman and Secretary of War Henry Stimson, was the bomb were to be only used for military action to avoid the loss of millions of lives. These deaths would occur if WWII continued, especialy during the planned invasion of the Island of Kyushu. Nevertheless, moral issues come to play, despite the intentions to end the war. Others believe it was crucial, necessary, and unavidable for America to bomb Japan. Still, it is felt that such drastic measures should not have occured, and that the bombing was rushed into action.
Also, the secret organization of America to create the first atomic bomb (A-Bomb for short) could not be stopped by the citizens. This project was called the Manhattan Project.
