I have always been excited by how the Sales and Marketing division of a company drives business. That is why I decided to work in sales. While working in startups, I faced many challenges. I remember one incident from my days in Grofers. There was a dispute over the task of getting inventory scanned in one of our Super Store. There were approximately 2000-2500 different products in the store. One had to take the product in hand, scan the barcode and upload it to the company’s server. If there is any change in either price or Weight, one had to make that respective change then and there only. The task was tedious. There were 4 people on the team. Rather than wasting time in futile passing the parcel game, I suggested discussing the task openly. Then we talked about where we are regarding the monthly sales target that we had to achieve. As it turned out, I was comfortable to give 4 days to the task. I didn’t have anything else pending. So, I decided to take the task and we completed it on time. My conversion rate was almost 50% in Grofers. I was a Sales Executive in Grofers, but I have done more than my responsibilities. I also helped my fellow colleagues to complete their sales target. Because of my performance and attitude, I won a ‘Star Performer’ award in Grofers. While working in Envicare, I have also completed the 4-week Marketing Analyst Program with The Indian Economist. I have also done an online certification course from HubSpot academy on Inbound Marketing.

I want to pursue an MBA from TAPMI for two primary reasons. First, TAPMI will provide me mentorship of Gururaj Sir and many other eminent faculties. Second, the ‘Experiential learning’ method followed by TAPMI. An MBA from TAPMI will not only give me theoretical knowledge but will also give me practical exposure to brand strategy, marketing, sales through a lot of case study solving live projects and business simulation games. TAPMI will certainly help me achieve my career goals and is the best choice because, in the end, we are our choices.
