My Mother, My Hero

Table of Content

There are varying perspectives worldwide on the definition of a hero. They can manifest in diverse forms and possess distinct qualities, values, and beliefs. In my perspective, heroes display unwavering dedication to shielding others from harm. They invest their utmost energy into guaranteeing your safety and willingly imparting essential knowledge for survival. The value of a hero is not contingent upon attaining perfection, possessing elevated social standing, or having a sandwich named after them at a local bar.

My mother, my hero, is a caring and loving person who has always taken care of me. From the time I was one year old, she fed and cleaned up after me. Despite her selflessness, I cried all night without showing gratitude. As I grew to be two years old, she patiently taught me how to walk, but I would run away whenever she called out to me. Each year, my mother continued to show love through acts of kindness. At age three, she cooked delicious food for me with great care and effort. However, I threw a plate on the floor without understanding her efforts. At four years old, hoping to nurture my creative side, she gave me a pencil to learn how to draw. Unfortunately, instead of using it properly on paper or canvas surfaces as intended, I impulsively chose walls as my canvas surface. But everything changed when I unexpectedly turned eleven years old. During that time frame something extraordinary happened: an accidental discovery unfolded before my eyes (or rather eye). The discovery of limited vision in my left eye has completely changed how I perceive myself and the world around me.

After informing my mother, she accompanied me to the hospital where I underwent an eye examination. The doctor concluded that surgery was required and subsequently performed it. While I stayed in the hospital for thirteen days, my father was working in Russia. Nevertheless, my mother faithfully visited me daily and attended to all of my needs. After the thirteen-day duration, she escorted me home and diligently supervised my recuperation for an additional six months. She ensured that I refrained from consuming any foods that could potentially jeopardize the well-being of my eye and prohibited me from participating in physically demanding activities.

Having spent a considerable amount of time, I have now grasped the full scale of my mother’s heroism. While not widely acknowledged, her actions hold immense importance for me. She makes me feel exceptionally cherished and valued. I am fully aware that she would give up anything to guarantee my well-being. My mother has furnished me with the knowledge essential for achieving success and making a significant difference in society. Moreover, she has instilled within me self-love and acceptance, guiding me to always be genuine without any fear. Even though she doesn’t possess a personal sandwich, my mother remains my ultimate hero.
