The policeman knocked on my window with his knuckle, and I lowered my window. I asked the policeman why he stopped me. “Ma’am, you don’t have your seatbelt on.” He said and asked for my driver’s license. I quickly gave it to him and watched as he walked back to his motorcycle to check it. He returned shortly after to give me my ticket. I went to a class at Emmanuel Hospital, one week after. It was a seatbelt class. Two police officers and one nurse taught the class on how to wear seatbelts. They showed us a video which shows what happens when you don’t wear your seatbelt. It was so bloody and scary It showed people lying broken, disfigured and bloody in the car or on the street after a terrible car accident. My husband is happy I took the class. He thought it was good for me. I now remember to wear my seatbelt because I just don’t want to end up like the people in the video. Today, I am very thankful for my police experience.
