The positive of having a memoir is that a memoir is the writer actually putting you through his story though first person point of view. The positive of media, is that in media, you can visually and listen to scenes that happened during the event. The cons of a memoir are that if you cannot picture things, you won’t get out of the book. The con about media is that it is not actually the writer telling you what had happened. My personal review of Night by Elie Wiesel was that he was a very brave teenager.
He had to lie about his age, give up his prized possessions, and transfer to different concentration camps. I recommend this book because it shows how one person could keep memory alive, and share his memoir of struggles that he was put through by the Nazi’s. The reader will take away from their reading of night the memory that they should not stay silent. The whole book was based on silence. The reader will learn to not be silent about an incident like so and never let it repeat.
