Nagtatanong kayo siguro bakit gabi at medaling araw kami gumagawang system at documents namin?

The Internet is incredibly popular and helpful because it enables users to not only quickly access data and information from sources all over the world, but also transfers information quickly and easily. Benefits of the Internet were quickly seen by businesses to provide their companies. Nowadays it is preferable for the company to have a website to promote their products and services offered.
Having a website of its own will make company and businesses more popular and can even make it more competitive. In the industry of funeral services, business will deal with stiff competition. It is one thing to compete with local counterpart and putting a business online can widen the range and sales of the casket and funeral business. St. Thomas Funeral Service is located in Tizon Street, San Vicente, Sto. Thomas Pampanga. The business started in the year 2007. Sto. Thomas Pampanga is known for its stalls of Funeral Homes and Services. Approximately, there are fifteen funeral homes and service provider within the area only.
Even if St. Thomas Funeral Service is just newly establish compared to the other funeral service provider, it gained its rights and reputation in terms of good and quality funeral service in town. St. Thomas Funeral Service is a business registered to Mr. Juanito Munoz and currently manages and owned by Mr. Jason Munoz, son of Mr. Juanito. Mr. Jason Munoz manages all the transactions involved in the purchasing and rendering of the services. The business is marketed by signboard located near the area, allowing possible customer, passers-by to have Online Ordering of Caskets for St.
Thomas Funeral Service 1 knowledge about the location of the business. There are a total of fifteen employees that are currently working in the said establishment. St. Thomas Funeral Service has a business permit only for Pampanga allowing the operations of funeral service to take place only in Pampanga. Therefore, their funeral services are can only be render within the Pampanga. But since St. Thomas Funeral Service makes their own caskets, it is possible for selling caskets outside Pampanga. Bulk ordering of caskets outside St. Thomas Funeral Service is also allowed.
These orders are made by different funeral service providers that do not make their own caskets. Bulk orders are only offered to funeral homes and services that are outside the Sto. Thomas Pampanga and within Central Luzon area. St. Thomas Funeral Service has regular and new customers that are acquiring the offer in bulk ordering of caskets. Customers choose caskets by just their category like wood and metal and by their sizes. Basic information is asked to the customers who want to acquire this service. These customers make their partial payment done by depositing money in the proprietor’s bank account.
Then, it will be checked online by the owner if the payment was successfully done. Shipping of the caskets takes place. After the delivery was finished, the payment shall be completed by the customer. Since ordering is done through phone and by visiting the establishment to take their order, it consumes a lot of time and effort just by ordering and choosing caskets. Pre-planning of final arrangement is not a main service offered by the St. Thomas Funeral Service. Pre-planning is just offered when customers ask for it. St. Thomas allows customers to choose their caskets in advance for the preparation for their final funeral arrangement.
Extending the business into more competent services like pre-planning can widen the range of sales and income of the business. Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 2 Advertising the funeral business online is a good thing to do here in a fast paced environment. An online presence for business is a potent marketing and communication tool, an incredible foundation of cost-efficiency, an environmentally friendly way to work. Having an Information System can widely advertise the business, its products, services and other packages offered by the St. Thomas Funeral Service.
Developing of the proposed system, customers can have their reservations and bulk orders of caskets done online. Statement of the Problem General Problem The St. Thomas Funeral Service operates manually. The services and products offered are only limited for those who are familiar only of the said establishment. By observation and interview conducted for the study, the researchers identify the following problems encountered of the St. Thomas Funeral Service. Specific Problems By observation and interview conducted for the study, the researchers identify the following problems encountered of the St. Thomas Funeral Service ?
Lack of Publicity. St. Thomas Funeral Service is located in a remote area of Sto. Thomas Pampanga. Lack of media advertises in a business means the lower the chance of business productivity and income. Possible customers may not be aware of the products and services offered. Availability of the products and services are not well advertised. Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 3 ? Minimal movement on sales of pre-planning. St. Thomas Funeral Service originally offers only two services, the fast ordering and the bulk ordering for Funeral Company who does not make their own casket.
The pre-planning service is only offered when customers asked for it. With this reason, there is a minimal movement on sales of pre-planning, which means low income in terms of pre-planning. ? Choosing caskets in bulk orders is time consuming. In choosing caskets in bulk orders, there are two options for the customers to choose. Either the customer is required to come in the establishment or acquire their orders through phone to choose what caskets to purchase. With these procedures, the customers requires much of their time by just making their orders of the products and services of the St.
Thomas Funeral Service. ? Miscommunication in acquiring orders. When the order is acquire through phone, there is a tendency of miscommunication between the customer and the representative of the St. Thomas Funeral Service. Miscommunication may lead to incorrect receiving of orders. This causes the funeral to spend additional money in terms of the delivery. ? Lack of display item. St. Thomas Funeral Service, not like any other funeral service provider does not have a showroom of caskets. There is no appropriate display of the caskets for the customers to see.
This may lead for the possible customer to take no notice of the caskets and just look for other funeral service provider. Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 4 This is possible because Sto. Thomas Pampanga is known for the Home of Funeral Services in Pampanga. Objectives of the Study General Objective St. Thomas Funeral Service has a good potential in the business industry. Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 8 CHAPTER II THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK Theoretical framework is a collection of interrelated concepts, like a theory but not necessarily so well worked-out. A theoretical framework guides research, determining what things that will measure, and what statistical relationships that will look for. Review of Related Studies Running the business online, not only saves time and money, in terms of advertisements, but it exponentially increases avings by enabling to change the way the things are done in ways that were not previously possible. According to Beck (2009), an online presence for business is a powerful marketing and communication tool, an incredible source of cost-efficiency, an environmentally friendly way to work, a sign of professionalism and pretty much a requirement today. The customers are expecting to see the website address on business cards and promotional materials. She also discussed in her article, about the few advantages of business online. Here are some of the advantages of business online that Beck discussed in his article: ? Powerful, fast and efficient marketing and communication tool and medium. Minimal start-up time & investment. Search engine optimized websites pay themselves off very quickly as long as they provide customers with valuable products or services ? The most environmentally friendly way to run a business. Telecommuting reduces the number of cars and car miles. You can test your sales strategies and offerings without wasting precious paper. Put your invoices, newsletters Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 9 and catalogs online and save numerous trees.
Very inexpensive way to reach new markets and interact with them ? ? Office & transportation cost savings Unlimited possibilities for automation of your business. You can automate your order and payment processes, inventory management, your customer support tasks and more ? Freedom to live and work where you like. You can be traveling while running your online business s and run multiple businesses simultaneously! ? Global presence 24/7 The researchers studied the article of Zhenya Beck about what are the advantages of business online. It is proven that having a business online help business processes.
Based on another article by Cornell (2009), in this world where the people are lazy doing things such as going to the mall to buy stuffs, moving to the markets to buy something has gone out of window. This has given birth to the ecommerce where people are happy to follow the click and order procedure. This applies to the food, appliance, and furniture industry also. But in this industry people likes to carry out a proper search and prefer a wider range of options. This is where the online ordering system has been of great help. These systems are helpful to both the customers as well as the business owners.
It is also written in the article of Cornell the advantages of online ordering system. The first advantage states that this online ordering system provides are that the customers can order at any point of the day. This has given the customers a larger time framework to work with and has helped businesses to increase their sales many times. Next advantage is the ease of use. All the customers need to know is a one Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 10 website address and then the customer can and businesses online search for as many web sites and online businesses.
This gives customer a wide range of services and products to choose from. For the business owners it is helpful in the way that they don’t have to go selling their products. All they have to do is display their products on the above mentioned websites and the customers will automatically come to them. Third advantage for the business owners is that they don’t have to set up their own servers and then keep maintaining them. All they have to do is sign up with the website and display their menus. When they need to change anything, they just have to make the required changes to their online menus.
This saves them a lot of money in advertising, setting up and maintaining the web server. With all the above mentioned advantages the online ordering system has been a huge hit with the customers as well as the restaurant owners. This has helped in increasing the sales of the business owners many a times. (2009) Simply having a website or obtaining e-commerce capabilities will not result in an implicit increase in the enterprise value of the business. However, influence of the internet can help for the increase of sales and profitability, which in turn can increase the value of the business.
There are few web sites for funerals that are available over the internet. These websites contains good ideas and features that helped in constructing the proposed system. The researchers adopt some ideas and features in other related websites and eliminate some unnecessary element and add some ideas that will enhanced the proposed system. Www. brooksfuneralhomes. com is a website which caters pre-planning of funeral arrangements. Researchers adopt some of the features like having an online obituary an online obituary which displays the newly deceased person in the website Online Ordering of Caskets for St.
Thomas Funeral Service 11 and pre-planning of final funeral arrangement which allow customers to create and chose their order according to their desire. In the said website, it convince why people need to record them and share them with their loved ones that will help ensure their final arrangements will be what their choice, while easing the burden on their family and friends. Choosing and paying in advance of funeral arrangement is an essential nowadays to prevent the family from worrying about the final funeral arrangement of the deceased loved ones.
The proposed system also offers paying the funeral arrangement in advance or secures their choices of caskets in advance by just paying the required down payment of the funeral homes. In Berry Funeral Home website, the funeral service, burial, cremation, and even the cemetery are pre-arranged. Since the St. Thomas Funeral Services does not have its own cremation and cemetery, it only covers the funerals service and the burial of the deceased person. The website offers a detailed explanation on why there is a need of pre-planning and what are the advantages of having a pre-planned of funeral arrangement.
The researchers acquire the simplicity of the website on its own. In this website, when pre-planning the funeral arrangement, customers need to contact the funeral to have their arrangements set and fix. But with the proposed system of the St. Thomas Funeral Service, the researchers thought of having the customers make their reservations of caskets online. Review of Related Literature Programming Tools According to Smith, PHP is a scripting language that enables people to create dynamic web pages and applications. It is a server side language that is one of the most popular used by developers today.
Whenever accessing a web site that has Java, the web browser downloads a Java program called applets. These applets are then executed within the context of the web browser. (2001) As stated in an article written by David Medinets, Common Gateway Interface or CGI, is the standard programming interface between web servers and external programs. It is almost one of the most exciting and fun areas of programming today. The CGI standard lets web browsers pass information to programs written in any language. He also stated that if programmers want to create a lightning-fast search engine, then CGI program will most likely be written in C or C++.
However, most other applications can use Perl. The CGI standard does not exist in isolation; it is Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 13 dependent on the HTML and HTTP standards. HTML is the standard that lets web browsers understands document content. HTTP is the communications protocol that, among other things, let web servers talk with web browser. (1996) The proposed system was developed using the different tools, programs and applications related to the web. PHP is the programming language used in the developing of the website.
Because among the above mentioned programming languages, PHP is open source, it is free, easy to learn and the most widely used by programmers and developers in creating web pages. Database Tools MYSQL is one of the top databases available in the market. MYSQL is a relational database with many advanced features and options. Over time, MYSQL has proved itself to be a fast, reliable and cost effective competitor to the other more expensive databases like MS SQL Server and Oracle. Here are a few of the advantages of using MYSQL in database development. MYSQL Relational Database | MYSQL Database, 2013) Apache Derby is an open source relational database implemented entirely in Java and available under the Apache License, Version 2. 0. Some key advantages include: Derby has a small footprint — about 2. 6 megabytes for the base engine and embedded JDBC driver. Derby is based on the Java, JDBC, and SQL standards. Derby provides an embedded JDBC driver that lets you embed Derby in any Javabased solution. Derby also supports the more familiar client/server mode with the Derby Network Client JDBC driver and Derby Network Server. It is easy to install, deploy, and use. Apache Derby, 2013) Oracle is identified by an alphanumeric system identifier or SID comprises at least one instance of the application, along with data storage. It comprises a set of Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 14 operating-system processes and memory-structures that interact with the storage. (CFactor Oracle, 2013) For the database of the system, the researchers used MySQL in the database of the website because of advanced features and options encapsulated with it. MySQL has proved itself to be a fast and reliable comparing to the above mentioned database tools which are expensive.
Designing Tools Dreamweaver is a proprietary web authoring application that allows users to preview websites natively in a preview pane or in locally installed web browsers. It provides transfer and synchronization features, the ability to find and replace lines of text or code by search terms and regular expressions across the entire site, and a template feature that allows single-source update of shared code and layout across entire sites without server-side includes or scripting. The benefits of using Dreamweaver over plain html coding from scratch are endless.
It is also stated that Dreamweaver creates a lot of the code for the user already, which makes it incredibly useful for those who have no idea what they are doing and, for the people who do know how to code html, they can always add it to the written code a lot easier. (The Benefits of Using Dreamweaver, 2013) In an article written by KarrenLiez, she stated that the Adobe Photoshop offers the benefit of touching up photos that may be otherwise ruined by an errant speck of dust, an unwanted person or item in the background intruder, or a subject’s clothing stain.
Tools such as the software’s “Clone” tool can be used to copy a matching area of the same picture and place it over top of the unwanted area, creating a seamless image. For example, using the clone tool, a desired photo of a sunny sky that has an Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 15 unwanted bird in the shot can be edited to remove the bird from the scene without the viewer seeing any discoloration or missing spots. (2012) Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are used to control and layout of a page with the purpose of separating the styles from the content.
Style sheets in theory “should” enable designers to separate definition of colors, link attributes, big colors, font styles, font sizes, etc. from the content of a web page. (Mangilit, 2001) According to Wikipedia, CSS is a style sheet language used to describe the presentation semantics (the look and formatting) of a document written in a markup language. It is most common application is to style web pages written in HTML and XHTML. Web Page Maker is an HTML editor with a graphics interface, which allows creating web pages without knowing HTML syntax.
Different objects (text, images, links, and buttons/etc) can be placed on the work area with a few mouse clicks and can be easily moved, deleted or have their sizes changed. The program includes templates as well. (Web-page Maker, 2013) Photoshop, CSS and Dreamweaver were used by the researchers to make the system more appealing to the customers and owner. The design and the interface of the web site are very important. The web site needs to be appealing because it attracts internet users and possible customers to visit the web site. Web browser is a software application used to enable computers users to locate and access web pages.
Browsers translates the basic HTML (Hypertext Mark Up Language) code that allows us to see images, text videos and listen to audios on websites, along with hyperlinks that let us travel to different web pages. The browser gets in contact with the web server and requests for information. The web server receives the information and displays it on the computer (Web Browser, 2013). Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 16 According to Wikipedia, Google Chrome is a web browser developed by Google that uses the WebKitlayout engine. Google Chrome aims to be secure, fast, simple and stable.
There are extensive differences from its peers in Chrome’s minimalistic user interface which is a typical of modern web browsers. Internet Explorer is a series of graphical web browsers developed by Microsoft and included as part of the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems. (Internet Explorer, 2013) Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite and managed by Mozilla Corporation. To display web pages, Firefox uses the Gecko layout engine, which implements most current web standards in addition to several features that are intended to anticipate likely additions to the standards. Mozilla Firefox for Windows, 2013) Accessibility of the system will be easier since it is capable of running on any web browser. It can be run in Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Thomas Funeral Service 19 CHAPTER III METHODOLOGY In this chapter the research methodology is discussed. The methods used to develop the proposed system; the research design and development are described. The instrument used to collect data including the methods implemented to maintain validity and reliability of the instrument. Project Research Design Research design is the description of the overall structure of the intended research identifying the various element or components of research, the type of each element and how these elements relate to each other.
The purpose of research design is to select and define the overall structure and methods of intended research. The researchers observed the process of the manual transaction of the St. Thomas Funeral Service and came up with a system to develop. Since the St. Thomas Funeral Service does not have a web site, the researchers decided to develop an online ordering system for the St. Thomas Funeral Service. In order to develop the system the researchers made some research about how online ordering help businesses and studied current funeral web sites process to determine possible features and solution that the system will be capable of.
The information gather from this study gave the basis for the design of the develop system. The analytical tools used to develop the proposed system are Hierarchical Input Process Output, Data Flow Diagram and Work Flow. System Flow Chart In the flow chart illustrated above shows the process on how the customer will use the developed system in a step by step manner. Project Development Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 27 Prototyping is a practical way to cultivate and achieve user participation and commitment to a project.
Prototyping represents a common reference point for both users and designers by which to identify potential problems and opportunities early in the development process. It is also an effective way to draw out and clarify user requirement. According to Margaret Rouse, there are several steps in the Prototyping Model: 1. The new system requirements are defined in as much detail as possible. This usually involves interviewing a number of users representing all the departments or aspects of the existing system. 2. 3. A preliminary design is created for the new system. A first prototype of the new system is constructed from the preliminary esign. This is usually a scaled-down system, and represents an approximation of the characteristics of the final product. 4. The users thoroughly evaluate the first prototype, noting its strengths and weaknesses, what needs to be added, and what should to be removed. The developer collects and analyzes the remarks from the users. 5. The first prototype is modified, based on the comments supplied by the users, and a second prototype of the new system is constructed. 6. The second prototype is evaluated in the same manner as was the first prototype. 7. The preceding steps are iterated as many times as necessary, until the sers are satisfied that the prototype represents the final product desired. 8. The final system is constructed, based on the final prototype. Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 28 9. The final system is thoroughly evaluated and tested. Routine maintenance is carried out on a continuing basis to prevent large-scale failures and to minimize downtime. (2005) Prototyping model was used. This prototype is developed based on the currently known requirements. Development of the prototype undergoes design, coding and testing. But each of these phases is not done in detail.
By using this prototype, the customer can get an “actual feel” of the system, since the interactions with prototype can enable the customer to better understand the requirements of the desired system. In such situations letting the customer “plan” with the prototype provides important inputs which helps in determining the requirements for the system. It is also an effective method to demonstrate the feasibility of a certain approach. (Prototyping Software Life Cycle Model, 2013) Figure 3. 11. Prototyping Model Requirement Gathering The first phase of the prototyping model is to identify basic requirements.
These basic requirements include the input and output of the information needed. Customers were interviewed to attained information about the process of the business and what are the necessary procedures for the customers to undergo before acquiring or rendering their services. Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 29 Interview was done in this phase. Asking questions to customers and owner was done regarding the flow of the business to identify the proper procedures that can be done to develop a module that will help with the business growth.
The researchers conducted interview to the owner to know how the current transaction of their business is working and how the proposed system is going to help in their business. Survey was also conducted to 45 respondents to obtain data needed to support the flow and development of the proposed system. 1. Do you have a PC or Laptop at home? a. Yes b. Do you also want to have a reservation of funeral service including the designing of the curtains, lights and even the burial itself? a. Yes b. No Total: No. of Respondents 30 15 45 Percentage 67% 33% 100%
Table 3. 5. Survey Result The tables 3. 5 indicate that 67% of the respondents want to have a reservation of funeral service including the designing of the curtains, lights and even the burial itself. Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 31 In analysis, St. Thomas Funeral Service is feasible with the given result of the survey. Respondents may not have the resources like PC and internet connection, but still are interested in the idea of having their pre-arrangement of funeral service. Quick Design In this phase, the researchers create the quick design of the system.
This is conceptualized by the requirements gathered in the first phase. These include the user interface and the heart of the system, meaning the main module of the system. For the proposed system, Pre-planning and Bulk Ordering module was developed first. Building the Prototype After creating the design and conceptualizing what would be the processes of the transaction in the system, the researchers build the initial prototype. The initial module that the researchers made is the Pre-planning and Bulk Ordering module. The programming language used in the building the initial prototype of the system is the PHP.
Photoshop, CSS and Dreamweaver were used by the researchers to make the system more appealing to the customers and owner. The software that used in the database is MySQL. Customer Evaluation The fourth phase is the review. The customers, including the users examine the prototype and provide feedback on additions or changes that need to be done in the system. It is develop and design for the customer’s feedback and assessment regarding the design and the process of the module of the developed system. In this phase the system is already evaluated. The researchers commented on the design and process of the initial prototype.
Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 32 Refining the Prototype The next phase is the revising or refining the prototype. The specifications and the prototype can be improved by using the feedback received from the previous phase. The researchers gathered the comments from customers, including end- users who examined the prototype that will be the basis of the changes that will be done in the prototype. Necessary changes will be done here in this phase in terms of design and the procedure of the module of the initial prototype. Engineer Product This is the last phase of the prototyping cycle.
The researchers developed the final product of the system for the St. Thomas Funeral Service. Evaluation Procedure The researchers conducted assessment to evaluate the developed system, this evaluation aims to identify whether the developed system achieved the objectives of the study. The evaluation surveys were given to the fifteen employees of the St. Thomas Funeral Service and twenty-five selected students and guest. The researchers show the respondents on how to navigate the developed system. Evaluation Criteria To be able to determine whether the project meets its objectives, an evaluation or assessment is done.
The system is evaluated according to the following criteria used in software evaluation. This evaluation is commonly used to asses systems that are to be used of a particular client. This further proves that the objectives set are satisfied including the satisfaction of the clients. Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 33 According to Boehm (1978) the higher level software quality characteristics are extracted from the answers to following questions: How well can the software are used as it is? How easy it is to maintain the software? And, can it be used if the environment changes, or how much portable it is?
FURPS is another quite common software quality model in the industry. FURPS stands for, what it considers the important quality characteristics of software, which are as following (Yahaya, 2010): ? ? Functionality- What can the system do? Usability- “User friendly” is the term most often used. Usability means simple, obvious, easy to understand, and familiarity of the system. ? Reliability- Referring to both the hardware and software elements, how dependable is the whole system? ? Performance- How does the system (hardware and software) actually operate? How available for use is it? Supportability- How well does the system run overtime? Instruments and Techniques Used The evaluation survey was used as a research instrument consisting of a series of evaluation criteria. The researchers had chosen this kind of instrument for the reason that it standardizes answers that make it simple to compile data and information to be organized. 4. 1 – 5 Strongly Agree 3. 1 – 4 Agree 2. 1 – 3 Uncertain 1. 1 – 2 Disagree 0. 1 – 1 Strongly Disagree Table 3. 6. Scale of the Survey Table 3. 6 shows the scale used for the survey. The scale was designed to quantify the assessment of the possible customers and users of the system.
Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 34 In getting the average of the evaluation criteria, the researchers used the formula: A= S/E for every criteria and AvF= A/5 for the total average of the FURPS. Where the following stands for: A= average AvF= average of FURPS S=total sum of score of the 30 evaluator per category E= number of evaluator (30) Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 35 CHAPTER IV RESULTS and DISCUSSIONS Results This section presents the result about the insight of the respondents to what characteristics of St. Thomas Funeral Service should have.

Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 60 CHAPTER V SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMENDATIONS In this chapter, the researchers present the general summary of the study and its findings. The conclusion and the recommendations of the researchers were also discussed here which are based from the summary and findings of the study. Summary The current processes of St. Thomas Funeral Service in ordering are done manually. Manually in terms of the users will go directly to the location of the establishment to acquire their orders and/or make their orders through phone.
The business is advertised with the use of sign boards and through friends only. The need of going to the establishment to see the available caskets requires much time for the users. Possible users may not have the knowledge about the business itself and about the services of St. Thomas Funeral Service. With these problems, the researchers decided to develop the Online Ordering of Caskets of St. Thomas Funeral Service. The researchers gathered information and used some instrument and techniques to develop the proposed system. Having a website of the business in its own helps the business in terms of sales and income.
It also helps users to make their order in a more convenient way. Conclusions Based on the findings of the researchers through observation, research and analysis, the following conclusions were drawn: The St. Thomas Funeral service is known within the vicinity and through referrals of common friends, which leads in slow income and progress of the business. Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 61 With the use of the developed system, St. Thomas Funeral Service is now advertising online and many possible users can see and access it. St.
Thomas Funeral Service also offers pre-planning of funeral arrangement. This service is not the main service offered by the said establishment. But since with the fast paced growing technology, business needs to expand and offer a more convenient way for the users to render their services and acquire their order. With the used of the developed system, users can now pre-plan their funeral arrangement by choosing the type of casket to use in their funeral. Since the funeral makes their own caskets, St. Thomas funeral Service also offers bulk ordering of caskets.
Choosing caskets in bulk ordering is time consuming. Orders are get through phone or the user will go to the St. Thomas Funeral Service, with this process, users takes too much time and effort in ordering and may also lead to wrong information of orders when the order is done through phone. With the use of the developed system, users can just have their order online and just click and type what would be their order. Based on analysis of the data gathered and evaluation, it can be conclude that the Online Ordering of Caskets of St. Thomas Funeral Service has a positive and high regards in terms of performance.
And by implementing the system, the performance of sales of St. Thomas Funeral Service will improve. Recommendations Based on the summary and conclusion of the study, the following recommendations are advice for the future researchers for the enhancement of the future systems to be develop. 1. Sending and receiving SMS for the confirmation of orders and payments. Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 62 2. Coffin customization. 3. Users can modify or edit their order. 4. Cancellation module for orders. Online Ordering of Caskets for St. Thomas Funeral Service 63 APPENDICES

4. How many employees do you have and what are their corresponding works in your business? Meron kaming 15 employees. Mga taga-gawa ng kabaong, tagalinis at maintenance ng sasakyan, nag-aayos ng funeral garden at mga driver. 5. What are the problems you encounter in your business? How do you act and solve them? Kapag may maling order, kasi nga yung order, nagagawa lang sa tawag, ayon miscommunication. Tapus, di nila kukunin yung order kasi nga male. Pero pinapalitan na man namin. Ayun nga lang, dagdag gastos sa amin kase another delivery yon. 6.
How is your business advertised? Sign boards, sa mga hospital may mga tagapamagitan, sa mga kaibigan at kakilala, nire-refer yung service namin sa iba. 7. Do you want your business to go online? What are the services you want your customers to acquire? 8. How do you like your payments to be done? Bank to bank. Kase, ganun na yung payments namen na ginagawa ngayon.
Ibibigay yung transaction no. sa amin tapos check namin kung pumasok yung pera tapos delivery na non. Prepared by: Jellie S. Garcia Nancy M.
