The situation with Ana and her boyfriend Manny and him beating her relates because Ana had showed up at “Oscar’s house with a bruise on her face and her blouse torn and the mom had said I don’t want trouble here! ” This means that she is in favor of men beating women because she did not try to help or anything she just pretty much told her to leave. Oscar finally graduated college and started his job and living his life. His mom had sent him back to his hometown after a couple of years he hasn’t been there and he had met a girl named Ybon. She was a prostitute and her boyfriend was a cop.
And he started to think about if he should talk to a girl with a boyfriend again because of his last issues with Ana. Then Oscar decided to talk and fall in love with his last love Ybon. They had spent so much time together and starting feeling for each other. He had told her that “he is in love with her and he’d been hurt and everything is alright. ” He had followed her and left her many places and even sat infront of her house. They had spent plenty of time together and he had finally got his first kiss. He knew that this wasn’t going to turn out good.
Many things were going through Oscar head that he didn’t know if he should follow her or even go and get her back. But he decides to and goes down the path because he knew he loved Ybon. He had sacrificed his like for the women he loved. He had tried to get his last kiss from her and she had turned her head and Grod and Grundy had took him and brought him to the canefields. In the canefields they had shot him and ended Oscars life. No matter how many women Oscar fell in love with he had found his last love and died for her and every love had ended with violence.
