Acceptance of such marriages varies from country to country because in some places today, the same-sex marriages have been made legal but there are still many countries that still do not accept such relationships and they condemn such marriages. As it is believed that everything is not perfect as it does have its own pros and cons and same goes with same sex marriages.
In the following paragraph I will be discussing the pros and the cons of same-sex marriages. Just like the other couples, people who engage in same-sex marriages also have the desire to have the children and for this, they can adopt children and this would further help the country as there are many children who are either orphans or who their parents are not willing to accept can thus be brought up by such couples.

However, people also believe that the idea is basically silly and it does not have any substance but I believe that as same-sex marriages do not harm anyone and it is also not a choice of an individual to become homosexual or heterosexual as this is basically a biological tendency that is found in the people to get attracted to the people of the same gender as theirs and this is because of the control of their hormones. There are also many cases in which the relationship is one sided i. . one person might be attracted to the other person but the other might be heterosexual. Some people however, still remain rigid and never accept this kind of relationship people have. Sam sex marriages, today are not legalized under the Defense of Marriage Act of the United States but they are legal in California and Massachusetts on the state level. A movement to protect the rights of the same-sex marriages began in 1970’s, however it gained attention in the 1990s.
The first nation to legalize same-sex marriages was Denmark followed by Belgium, Canada, and the Netherlands and some more countries also supported same-sex marriages after it was made legal in these countries, however the debate still continues. According to the rule of the majority, many states in the US still does not recognize same-sex marriages as it is acceptable by the majority population and even by the laws written in the Bible. Even I believe that it should not be legalized because it actually disrupts the real sanctity of marriage.
