Self-Assessment #1: IPIP-NEO Narrative Report

Description

The purpose of this self-assessment is to portray the personality traits that people may have. The five main ones are: extroverted, friendly, conscientious, neurotic and open to experience. According to the survey results: my highest score is orderliness; this trait indicates that I like to live according to conventions and timetables. Keep the list and plan. On the other hand, my lowest score is Intellect; inferior scorers prefer to deal with people or things rather than ideas. Most of the content of this self-assessment report is in line with my own.

Analysis

This self-assessment is related to the five-factor personality model. My highest score is orderly. People with high order scores usually manage themselves very well. They like to live according to the schedule. They like to make plans and have good for themselves. Binding force. Low scorers tend to be chaotic and scattered. Orderliness is a very good character for me. Good management in my daily life will have a major benefit to my life. My lowest score is Intellect, and the high scores of intellects are usually full of ideas. They are open to new and unusual ideas and like to discuss knowledge issues. They like riddles, puzzles and brain teasers. Inferior scorers prefer to deal with people or things rather than ideas. I think that people who work for high scores will have a little more emotion, and those with low scores will be more inclined to rationality. In the five model of personality traits, the low score of my Agreeableness, indicating the degree of concern for the needs of others is inferior to your own needs. People think that you are tough, critical, and uncompromising. In the eyes of others, I am not an approachable person. My friend also said that I am indifferent. In life, I will be more cautious about treating others. I will not trust others directly. I should make changes and show more goodwill to others. At least, let others not think that I am an indifferent person.

Self-Assessment #2: Understanding your scores on Decision Making Style Inventory

Description

According to the survey results, the list of decision styles estimates that I prefer rational and intuitive decision making. I have a high score of rational decision-making style and moderate intuitive decision-making. I think the survey results are completely in line with my style.

Analysis

The main advantage of rational decision-making model is that it provides structure and discipline to the decision-making process. It helps ensure that we consider all the factors associated with the decision of a reasonable and comprehensive manner; to make better solutions. The general rational decision model has the following steps: identifying problems or opportunities, collecting information, analyzing the situation, and developing a plan. I think that rational decision-making has two huge benefits: decision-making will be objective, unbiased, and based on facts; use scientific and rational methods to solve risks and uncertainties. This will increase the success rate of the plan. The rational decision-making process includes a series of steps to scientifically and reasonably analyze the required solutions. Intuitive decision-making is almost the opposite, and in essence more dependent on subjective and subconscious. Our decision is based on a range of factors, including our experiences, values, attitudes and emotions. In daily life, it is impossible for all decisions to be rational and objective. The process of decision-making is to deal with people, and personal factors will influence decision-making.

At work, you can improve your productivity, as well as the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate. Through analysis, I learned that I am a good listener. I am very happy. I believe that being a good listener is very useful and can help me get a good impression on others. In the process of listening, using body language and gestures to show that you are listening and not interrupting others, giving respect and understanding, this will help you to close the relationship with each other and help you build a good relationship. In life, we can practice the skills of active listening.
