Oasis is a set of the 1890ss that is frequently compared The Beatles. They try to be like The

Beatles merely to make it unsuccessfully. The lead vocalist of Oasis, Liam Galagher tries to be like

the lead vocalist of The Beatles, John Lennon. The manner Liam Galagher sounds, and the manner

he writes his music are really similar. The New York Times Magazine said, & # 8220 ; Oasis & # 8217 ; s second

album & # 8220 ; ( What & # 8217 ; s the Story ) Morning Glory & # 8221 ; , is besides indebted to The Beatles.

The vocalist Liam

Gallagher sounds like a more rhinal John Lennon, with the joie de vive curdled to a rancid

arrogance. & # 8221 ; John Lennon wrote a vocal in the 1970ss called & # 8220 ; Imagine & # 8221 ; .

Oasis merely

released a vocal on their 2nd album called & # 8220 ; Don & # 8217 ; t Look Back in Anger & # 8221 ; . The beginning of

this vocal is precisely like the beginning in & # 8220 ; Imagine & # 8221 ; . Another vocal off their 2nd album

& # 8220 ; ( What & # 8217 ; s the Story ) Morning Glory & # 8221 ; , & # 8220 ; Champagne Supernova & # 8221 ; Sounds a batch like The Beatles

vocal, & # 8220 ; Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds & # 8221 ; . If you look at some of the wordss in Oasis & # 8217 ; s vocal

& # 8220 ; Champagne Supernova & # 8221 ; it talks about being lost in the clouds in a bubbly supernova.

In The Beatles vocal & # 8220 ; Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds & # 8221 ; it talks about mounting in the dorsum of a

newspaper cab, with your caput in the clouds. Oasis likes to do a batch of their vocals

sound like The Beatles. Oasis & # 8217 ; s manner is a batch like The Beatles. Oasis has, what is know to

people as & # 8220 ; The Beatle haircut & # 8221 ; . ( see back page )

Oasis is known as the biggest Britpop group of the 1890ss. Oasis has been on the British

Charts of all time since they released there 2nd album. In the last few months & # 8220 ; Champagne

Supernova & # 8221 ; and & # 8220 ; Don & # 8217 ; t Look Back in Anger & # 8221 ; hold reached figure one and stayed at

figure one for a few hebdomads, on the British Charts. Oasis is a batch more popular in England,

than the United States. None of their vocals have reached figure one in the United States.

The Beatles on the other manus were popular in both topographic points. The Beatles released their first

album & # 8220 ; With The Beatles & # 8221 ; merely a few hebdomads before they came to the United States, for

/ & gt ;

their first concert at the Ed Sullivan Theater. & # 8220 ; I Want to Keep Your Hand & # 8221 ; hit figure one

on the U.S. charts, and, on this twenty-four hours, Pan Am Flight 101 brought The Beatles to the United

States. At Kennedy Airport, 3,000 hysterical Beatlemaniacs came to recognize them. When The

Beatles got their first glance at the crowd, they figured the President must be set downing

besides. Two yearss subsequently, a record of 73 million people watched them on The Ed Sullivan

Show, including a lucky few in the studio audience. The Beatles had no thought that they were

so popular. The Beatles loved their fans. They didn & # 8217 ; t seek to be like any other set or

comparison. themselves, to other sets. The Beatles had their ain manner, and were proud of

it. Unlike Oasis who thinks they have to be like another set, to be liked.

Oasis believes that they are merely every bit good as The Beatles, and that they are the ground for

The Beatles, sudden popularity once more in this last twelvemonth. This is non true. The Beatles have

been popular one time once more because of the Anthologies and pictures that they have put out.

The Beatles came out with two new vocals, that haven & # 8217 ; t been heard before: & # 8220 ; Free as a

Bird & # 8221 ; and & # 8220 ; Real Love & # 8221 ; . Any set that hasn & # 8217 ; t performed together in more than twenty old ages,

is bound to pull some attending to them. Particularly The Beatles sing John Lennon

is dead, and he was one of the chief vocalists. It was because of the love and desire to

hear more from The Beatles, that made them popular one time once more. It is non because of

Oasis that The Beatles are popular.

In my sentiment I think Oasis is seeking to hard to be like The Beatles. I think that they believe

that since The Beatles were so popular with their music. Than if they try to be like them

than they will be merely as popular, but that isn & # 8217 ; t how it works. They should merely be

themselves, and non seek to populate off another sets popularity.

I have shown many ways that Oasis tries to be like The Beatles. They try to compose vocals

the manner The Beatles did. They cut and do their hair how The Beatles did. They try to

sound like The Beatles, but do it unsuccessfully.
