Time Management is the control and focus of a person’s actions for the purpose of improving efficiency. Time management techniques usually involves setting priorities and goals, sticking to the schedule you created for yourself, take short breaks in between tasks to keep your brain awaken, have a full 8 hours of sleep every night to have lots of energy throughout the day and surround yourself with people that guide you towards your success rather than people who distracts you from working efficiently.

Throughout this paper, I will be further explaining why each of these techniques are important for a good lifestyle and who can benefit from them.

Setting priorities and goals is extremely helpful to have an efficient day. I would recommend to everyone to do a to-do list at the beginning of every day for a productive day. By making a to-do list, it will most likely remove a lot of stress from people since they will not fear to have forgotten something.

Also, by making a to-do list or a schedule, you will most likely find a time in your day to spend with your friends or family. The ultimate goal of time management is to have a good work-life balance.

Taking breaks in between tasks is really important because it gives your brain a moment to relax and stop thinking. You could go take a walk, meditate, watch a short video, check your social media, etc. However, it should not be longer than 20 minutes because your brain will most likely take awhile to get back to work it your break is too long, which defeat the purpose of a break.

Having a full night of sleep will definitely impact your productivity. When you are tired, your brain is slower and it usually will take you longer to achieve your tasks throughout the day. People who don’t sleep for at least 8 hours every night usually end up taking a nap in the middle of the day, which makes them lose time that they could spend with their friends or family. When you are well-rested, you have lots of energy to accomplish all your tasks without any distractions.

A crucial part in time management is to surround yourself with people that will push you towards success rather than bad habits. You need people that will help you stay on the right tract. You can find someone with good working habits to help you create your schedule or someone that you can work well with to do work together. Having a person to spend time with while accomplishing your tasks will make your day less boring.

Time management is crucial for success. People who waste time are the ones who will most likely fail in life because they lose time on unimportant things instead of focusing on the things that actually need to be done. For example, if you waste time at school, your grades will go down. For high school students, it is really important to find a balance between work and fun. It is at this age that they can actually have an impact on how they will manage their time for the rest of their lives in it the time where routines are put in place.

If you have difficulties with creating a good schedule, you can always ask for help. Teachers, parents, mentors, friends are always there to help you achieve your goals. They care about your success as much as you do. So don’t hesitate to ask for their support!
