Boston University is a research university with an international reputation. The school is particularly well known for its programs in business, law, and medicine.
In fact, Boston University’s medical program is ranked as the 17th best in the country by U.S. News & World Report, and its School of Law is ranked 16th nationally by that publication.
The undergraduate college at Boston University has four colleges: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Communication, College of Fine Arts, and College of General Studies. There are also five graduate schools: School of Law; School of Education; School of Public Health; Charles River Campus; Metropolitan Campus.
The college is also home to one of the top-ranked business schools in the world — the Questrom School of Business — which offers undergraduate degrees in management and accounting, as well as MBA programs. The school also has undergraduate programs in communication, education, engineering management, finance and marketing, among other disciplines.
Itss School of Education was ranked second in “Best Online Master’s Degrees” by U.S. News & World Report in 2017. Students can earn a master’s degree online in education administration or supervision; educational leadership; human development and family studies (including special education); instructional technology; mathematics education; science education; teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL); curriculum and instruction (including early childhood or elementary education); or reading education (including literacy). All options are available entirely online except for TESOL (which requires 15 weeks on campus).
