Detailed answer:

Aristotle died of natural causes in his home in Chalcis, Greece in 322 BC.

In fact, Aristotle became one of the most famous philosophers and scientists in history. He wrote many books on various subjects such as biology, physics and zoology. He was also an excellent observer of nature who had a great interest in the physical world around him.

However, Aristotle’s death is shrouded in mystery. It is known that he died on the same day as Alexander the Great, who had died a few days earlier at age 32 from a fever or malaria. Some sources say Aristotle was also affected by this illness and died of it. Others say he died of natural causes not related to the epidemic. Still others say that Aristotle poisoned himself with hemlock rather than face execution by his enemies after Alexander’s death.

None of these theories is supported by solid evidence. We know that there was an epidemic and that both Aristotle and Alexander were exposed to it; we don’t know whether either of them actually died from it. The story about suicide may have been told to protect Aristotle’s reputation after his death — if people believed he had killed himself rather than face justice, they might have been less likely to punish his students for continuing his teachings after his death.
