To prevent global warming, you can start by taking steps at home.
First, make your home more energy efficient. This means making sure your heating and cooling systems run efficiently, installing energy-efficient light bulbs, and using appliances that are made to be energy efficient.
Second, use less water by turning off the faucet when you brush your teeth or shave. You can also take shorter showers and fix leaky faucets or pipes to save even more water!
Third, recycle and compost as much as possible by separating your trash into three different bins: one for recycling; one for composting; and one for regular trash.
Fourth, drive less by carpooling with friends or family members who live close by, biking or walking whenever possible instead of driving alone in your car—or even better yet, try taking public transportation if it’s available where you live!
Fifth, plant trees and other plants like grasses that can help absorb carbon dioxide from the air around us so we don’t have to breathe it in ourselves!
Sixth (and last), support renewable energy sources like solar panels on rooftops all over town or wind turbines in farms out.
