Othello’s final moments are spent in a state of confusion about whether Desdemona has really betrayed him or not. He is deeply hurt by Iago’s betrayal, but even more so by Desdemona’s supposed infidelity. In his final speech, he admits that he was wrong to doubt her fidelity and begs for forgiveness from her, but she dies before being able to give it.

Iago’s final moments are also spent in a state of confusion and regret as he realizes what he has done to Othello and Desdemona. He tries to make amends before being stabbed by Emilia, who murders him out of revenge for what he did to her husband.
