In Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, a futuristic society is created that is based on the idea of happiness through science. The main character, Bernard Marx, is unhappy with his role in society and starts to question the system. He meets a girl named Lenina Crowne who also feels out of place in the world. The two of them travel to a Savage Reservation where they meet a man named John the Savage. John is shocked by the way the people in the outside world live and starts to rebel against it. The government tries to control John and eventually he is exiled to an island with his two friends, Bernard and Lenina.
