The main conflict in Beowulf is between Beowulf and the monsters he fights.
Detailed answer:

The main conflict in Beowulf is the battle between Beowulf and the dragon. The story begins when Hrothgar, king of the Danes, is attacked by a monster known as Grendel. Grendel comes from the watery depths beneath his castle and kills many of Hrothgar’s people before retreating to his lair after dark.

To end this threat, Hrothgar seeks help from King Hygelac of Geatsland (Sweden). He sends Beowulf, one of his warriors, to help Hrothgar defeat Grendel.

Beowulf must overcome his fear of the dragon in order to defeat it. Beowulf’s courage and strength are put to the test against the dragon. The dragon is a formidable opponent and Beowulf must use all of his skills to defeat it. Beowulf’s victory over the dragon is a symbol of good triumph over evil. The dragon represents challenges that Beowulf must face in his life.
