The University of California, Riverside is a public research university established in 1954. It is located in Riverside, California, near the city of Los Angeles. The university has about 23,000 students and offers more than 180 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
In fact, UC Riverside was founded as a branch campus of the University of California system. Unlike other UC campuses that are located in urban areas, the university has been described as an example of suburbanization. In addition to its main campus in Riverside, the university also operates an off-campus research facility known as the Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT).
UC Riverside is home to over 20,000 students from more than 100 countries around the world. The university offers 86 undergraduate degrees and 55 graduate degrees. The university’s academic programs include studies in biology, business administration, chemistry, computer science engineering and physics. The university also offers several undergraduate degrees in interdisciplinary fields such as environmental studies and ethnic studies. The campus also has a number of centers dedicated to specific subjects including neuroscience research and global security studies.
In addition, UC Riverside has historically been known for its high quality education at an affordable price. In 2003 it became one of only six universities in the United States awarded public support by NASA for research on aerospace technologies through its Space Grant Consortium program.
