The University of Miami is known for its rigorous academic programs and its beautiful campus. The school is also home to the nation’s first journalism school, which opened in 1926. Since then, it has become one of the largest universities in Florida with more than 16,000 students enrolled each year.
In fact, The University of Miami is located in Coral Gables, Florida, a city about 15 miles south of downtown Miami. The university has a diverse student body with more than 5,400 undergraduates and more than 8,000 graduates.
The university has been ranked among the top 25 best public universities by U.S. News & World Report every year since 1988. It’s also consistently ranked among the top 50 universities in the nation by Forbes magazine.
Miami is known for having one of the most beautiful campuses in the country – it’s even known as the “Southern Ivy.” The campus includes many historic buildings that were built in the 1920s by architect Henry Hohauser and botanist Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., who designed New York City’s Central Park and Boston’s Emerald Necklace park system.
The main campus is surrounded by nature preserves and has several lakes where students can go swimming or kayaking during their free time. There are also several museums on campus including a natural history museum called Frost Science Museum that houses artifacts from Costa Rica and other Latin American countries.
