Malcolm X was a powerful voice for the African American community during the Civil Rights Movement. Although his methods were controversial, Malcolm X’s message of black empowerment resonated with many people, including some members of the government. As a result, the government closely monitored him and saw him as a potential danger to national security. When Malcolm X was assassinated in 1965, many believe that it was because he posed a threat to the status quo.
The FBI and other government agencies kept close tabs on Malcolm X and he was seen as a potential danger to national security. The government wanted to silence him before he could start a race war or incite violence against whites in America. When Malcolm X spoke out against racism and oppression in America, he was inspiring many people to fight for their rights as well as helping them understand their history better so they could move forward together peacefully with greater understanding between races instead of fighting among themselves over who should be in charge or how things should be run instead of working together peacefully side by side towards common goals like equality for all regardless of race color religion gender sexual orientation ethnicity etc.
