Detailed answer:

Karl Marx is important because he was the first person to develop the idea of socialism, which is an alternative to capitalism. He also wrote “The Communist Manifesto,” which is one of the most influential political documents in history. Karl Marx is one of the most influential thinkers in history. He was a philosopher, economist and revolutionary who had an enormous impact on modern political thought.

Karl Heinrich Marx was born in Trier, Germany in 1818. He studied philosophy at the University of Berlin and later became a journalist for several liberal newspapers. In 1843 he moved to Paris where he became involved with the secret Communist League and wrote “The Communist Manifesto” with Friedrich Engels. This pamphlet became one of the most influential political documents of all time, inspiring communist movements across Europe and around the world.

After living in exile in London for many years, Marx returned to Germany in 1848 where he was briefly active in politics before being exiled again in 1849 after his involvement in the failed German Revolution of that year. His last years were spent editing his unfinished works and managing his family’s estate until his death from pneumonia on March 14th 1883 at age 64.

Also Marx believed that society would always be divided into two groups: those who owned property, and those who didn’t own property. Those who didn’t own property were called the proletariat, while those who did own property were called the bourgeoisie. He believed that this division would cause conflict between them because they both wanted different things out of life — one wanted money and power, while one wanted self-respect and freedom from oppression.
