Goal setting involves creating action plans to inspire and guide individuals or groups in achieving specific objectives. These objectives may relate to acquiring new skills, pursuing ambitions, or completing projects. Setting goals has been shown to boost employee motivation and influence the intensity of our actions and emotions. When a goal is more challenging and meaningful, we tend to put in more effort to attain it. Furthermore, goal setting encompasses preparing for the future, which is beneficial as having a positive outlook on what awaits us enhances our ability to set and accomplish fresh goals.

The purpose of teaching and observing the teacher’s actions is to attain learning objectives, which should be measured in relation to students’ accomplishments and comprehension during a single lesson or multiple lessons. The goal I have selected for enhancement is conquering procrastination. Procrastination has been a persistent challenge for me in the past and continues to impact my well-being and ability to learn. I now acknowledge that deferring tasks until the final moments does not always yield positive outcomes.

To reduce my tendency to procrastinate, I will take necessary steps and seek support from multiple sources such as family, friends, and the internet. My approach includes involving my parents in monitoring my work by entrusting them with my mobile device to enhance concentration and minimize procrastination. Moreover, I will impose a limit on screen time and create a timetable to enhance organizational abilities and time management.

Having multiple short and long term goals, I have set up a reward system to measure my success in achieving them. Procrastination is considered as part of personal and social capability and is one of the learning weaknesses that I am actively trying to improve.

To reduce procrastination, my initial objective is to create a strict schedule for when I return home from school and establish a suitable bedtime. This will motivate me to complete tasks more efficiently as everything will be planned out and I won’t leave things until the last minute. Along with this, I intend to introduce a rewards system involving physical activity, phone usage, and eating to boost my productivity. To support myself in this process, I will seek the assistance of my family, friends, and teachers. I will ask my guardians to monitor my mobile device usage while I am working to minimize distractions and request that teachers inform me of task due dates in advance so that I can finish them early. It is estimated that achieving this short-term goal will take around 3-4 weeks.

In order to ensure that I complete all upcoming work/assignments at least two days in advance, I will create a schedule to help me stay organized and motivated. By using a timer or stopwatch, I can track my progress and improve my time management skills. This method will enable me to finish tasks promptly instead of procrastinating. The effectiveness of these strategies will be demonstrated by successfully completing more work before deadlines.
