United States Army regulations are very important. Being a member of the United States Army is a job that must be done correctly by the men and woman who chose to answer the call of duty. These regulations must be followed by all personnel enlisted or officer. These regulations also must be followed by all branches of the army whether you are national guard, reserve, or active. These regulations are also very important even when you are still in training. If they are not followed it can greatly affect your life.
It can also affect your privileges while in training. It can also have an effect on gaining rank and getting awards. Also if you are in the army you have sworn to live by the army values. If you do not follow army regulations you are also going against the army values. All army regulations must be followed or there will be consequences. Not following army regulations while in the army can have a great effect on your life. It can get you in trouble not only with civilian law, but it can also get you in trouble with military law.
For example if you are in the military and you get a speeding ticket off post, it can still affect your driving privileges while on post. They can suspend your right to drive on a military post even if you have a valid civilian drivers license. Also if you get charged with a DUI or similar charge it can cause you to lose your job. You can also end up getting a dishonorable discharge. Drinking under age is another thing that you can get into a lot of trouble for not only in the civilian world, but in the army as well.
You will be ticketed by civilian police, and then reprimanded by not only your chain of command, but you will be subject to UCMJ as well. You may also be counseled. You might also lose rank, or get an article 15, one of the worst punishments in the army. Disregarding army regulations can have a great effect on your life. Wouldn’t you want to have special privileges while you are in training? If you do not follow army regulations, you can lose any and all privileges that you might earn while in training. If you have tobacco in your possession during the duty day it can get you in trouble while in training.
Not only will you lose your pass privileges, but you can also receive a counseling statement. Counseling statement can and will stop you from being able to receive a promotion while in training. You may also end up writing an essay for your platoon sergeant about army regulations. You must also keep your living areas clean and neat. There are many regulations that govern what you can and cant do, and not following these regulations can result in losing any and all privileges that you have earned. If you are in the military you will want to get as many awards as you can.
You will also want to make rank as quickly as possible. Not following army rules and regulations is a quick way to make sure both of these things don’t happen. Getting in trouble will stop you from being eligible for certain awards and honors. It will also stop or slow any and all promotions you may have been able to receive. Getting in trouble and getting counseling statements will stop you from getting promotions. The easiest way to stay without rank and without any awards is to disobey army regulations.
