Introduction
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is introduced by Katharine Briggs and her daughter Isabel Myers which is based on Carl Jung theory of book Psychological Types. MBTI is one of the widely used measuring tools which offers the personality or profile type of individual by measuring their information processing which are dived into four physiological functions sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking. This will help in identifying the individual psychological behavior and emotions which will motivate them. This is helpful in composing a team which improved the effectiveness and problem solving capabilities. The composition of team should be effective with mixture of heterogeneous profile types than homogeneous profile types which proved to provide better results. The main aim of this assignment is to identify the various important aspects of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and things that need to be taken into consideration while composing a team. Some surveys and quantitative data in below cited papers give insight of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) profile types, and how a wrong composition of team can impact organization.

This paper discusses about the importance of personality types in a Team composition and how it impacts the performance of team by considering and proving various factors and elements. This article considered various factors like communication effectiveness, problem solving, group discussion and emotion levels on crowd teams by diving it into balanced and unbalanced teams based on personality types.
It citied 40 various sources and 70 people were participated in this research. The outcomes were prominent proving that statement personality type matters in team composition as after test conducted on individual, balanced and unbalanced crowd teams the balanced crowd teams were higher performance on all variables compared to other two teams.
4) James L. Stapleton. (2006). Effects of Team Composition on Problem Solving: An Empirical Investigation of the Assembly Effect
This paper is based on primarily to investigate the effects of team composition on problem solving using research methodology. When Author conducted a research on 417 students by using Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to determine their profile type and then comparing the effectiveness and problem-solving abilities of individuals then comparing it to teams assigned based on their profile type i.e. homogenous and heterogeneous teams. The results were conclusive and prominent that heterogeneous team with a mixture of different profile types have higher average than others. Author was able to prove the two hypothesis that were discussed in starting of article with results and findings Then provided 6 success factors which can help improve effectiveness of a team.40 different papers were citied in this article and author was able to produce the results required for organizations to consider the profile types in team composition which in turn help in improving effectiveness.
5) Mazni Omar, Sharifah-Lailee Syed-Abdullah, and Naimah Mohd Hussin (2010): Analyzing Personality Types to Predict Team Performance
This paper describes a definite approach on analyzing various personality types for Team performance for software engineering. This paper describes benefits of knowing the personality types and how it its relationship is crucial for any success of project, this uses a rough set from Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality types and analyze them how they affect the team performance. They selected 80 students and formed 19 teams then gathered data and using that performs Data Analysis, Data pre-processing, Data processing, Data Splitting and Then evaluating the results. Research citied 22 various sources for this paper. The results were prominent as it proved how personality types effected the output on various assigned teams. This result helps understanding the effects of personality types for organizations in future project success.
6) Janjua Najam-us-Saha (2016):Impact of Personality Type on Job Productivity
This paper discusses how the personality type have impact on Job productivity using a research methodology which will help the companies to organize their teams to obtain the surplus profits. For this purpose, Author provided back ground study by citing three various article which provided theoretical analysis and output of it.
This paper proved the ten hypothesis that were presented by conducting research and obtaining data from 300 individuals who is working in various banking sectors. After the analysis the data as mentioned in research methodology section the response rate was very low for particular personality type in same productive work compared to other personality types. This paper left a space to research further on how this factor change from personality type to type.
7) Márta Juhász(2010):Influence of personality on Teamwork behaviour and communication
This paper discusses how personality type will influence on behaviors and effectiveness of teamwork and communication between them. This article referenced 42 research articles that were published previously about personality influences on team work and composition.
This paper conducts research and collects data from 17 operator teams (N = 90) analysis in the Simulator Centre of a Hungarian Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).This paper discusses the three hypothesis that were mentioned about personality types, its communication and behavior in a teamwork which will effect the performance. Based on personality type the teams were divided based on hard and soft skills and after analysis of data gathered the teamwork was effective with communication between the mixed personality types and performance was significantly improved as well. So the paper concluded how personality factor effects the team.
8) Khudaykulov Akmal(2015):Personality traits influence on team cohesiveness and performance: The moderating effect of leadership
This paper discusses how the performance within the team is vital and mainly studies four personality traits competitiveness, openness to experience, conscientiousness, agreeableness which plays a crucial factor when evaluating a team performance and how a team leader ship facilitates to resolve the effectiveness and improves the performance. This study uses a qualitative approach based on four fundamental research questions which determines the relationship between a team leader and team members. This paper took reference from 14 different articles which describes the effects of personality type in team work

9) Amit Kramer, Devasheesh P. Bhave, Tiffany D. Johnson(2013):Personality and group performance: The importance of personality composition and work tasks
This paper explains the need of considering the personality type composition and its importance for a better group performance. Article citied 30 various articles which will define the need for research in importance of personality composition in work tasks for a group. For this the research 186 students were participated, and they are assigned to 46 groups with variety of personality type mixes in the group including similar types in a group. The measurement procedure is based on conjunctive tasks and additive tasks by 46 groups, variables measured were dependent variables for group performance, independent variable for individual performance and controlled variable which will obtain the addition of both performances to support the four-hypothesis discussed. The outputs were prominent when the performance was higher compared to similar personality types in the research. Based on analyzed data the groups are also rated by conscientiousness value and how group should be composed with three members or four members will affect the performance. This article provided insight on group size, group personality, group cognitive ability, and task characteristics which can be a crucial factor for future research.
10) Sin´ead Mc Givney, Alan F. Smeaton and Hyowon Lee:The Effect of Personality on Collaborative Task Performance and Interaction
This article provides insight on how personality type can effect the group task performances and how interaction between group is affected. Data is gathered by various individual working in various sectors and Data gathering is divided into two phases one is user supplied data i.e. answers obtained from two questionnaires one to determine the Personality type and other to give input on situations related to collaborated work tasks, how their interaction would be in various situation. other is System recorded data of performance including video when performing the task which is provided by different companies. This is data is analyzed using various data processing techniques to obtain the results of performance and interaction score between various teams. The study revealed that members with same personality type are less effective in performance and interaction compared to mixed types team. This paper also suggests to perform further research on comparison of the performance of single individual performing these tasks against the performance of mixed team working to determine if a same trend is observed when they collaboratively working in environment.
