Reasons for selecting the area of research
The reason why I choose juvenile delinquency as my area of research is I find this topic very interested Method of research In order to collect data, a printed questionnaire was used for the research a questionnaire has a number of advantages. It take little or no time to be completed It guarantee total confidentiality of the respondents It can be done at the convenience of the person required to have it completed.
The thirty questionnaires consisted of fifteen questions. The answer for the questions only required a tick or a short answer questions. The questionnaire were carried out in complete confidentiality hence, respondents were not requires to include any personal data such as their names and address.
Data collection instrument
I am a social studies student, from Tarrant high school what are the causes for juvenile delinquency. This is being done for my social studies school based assignment .you are requested to be totally honest and truthful .since you’re not required to write your personal data no one will know who one these particular questions .
What is your gender. Procedures for data collection
For this school based assignment, young youth were chosen and the sample group to help conduct this surveys. Four male teenagers of five different secondary levels were each chosen in order to answer the questionnaire. Their age range from 12-20 and they were chosen by random selection. Twenty questionnaire were distributed to male teenagers, each consisting twenty questions with three which are open ended and the remainder, seventeen are close ended.
