Initially, my expectations for this class were low. I thought it would be boring and uninteresting, with a focus solely on passing and meeting graduation requirements. However, as the semester progressed, I found myself captivated by the creativity of most artists. In the past, I didn’t appreciate or understand art, but now I feel disappointed in my previous mindset. My understanding has grown as I’ve come to value the emotional depth and expression conveyed in their work. Now, whenever possible, I prioritize visiting museums to admire the diverse pieces they display. This class has revealed unexpected connections between art and different aspects of history and psychology. Despite not actively participating in discussions or topics, this course has truly enlightened me about the true significance of art – proving that a painting or sculpture goes beyond surface-level perceptions.

David Garibaldi, an unrecognized young artist, caught my attention with his captivating work. Despite the abundance of famous artists today, his art stood out to me. It is possible that he and his artwork are unfamiliar to many people. Personally, I only discovered him when he appeared on America’s Got Talent during the 2012 season. What sets him apart is his distinctive style that combines visual and performing art. I was astonished by how rapidly he could finish a piece while still mesmerizing the audience. If you wish to explore more of Garibaldi’s creations, take a look at his paintings.

David Garibaldi’s art showcases relatable and understandable visuals that captivate viewers, emphasizing the connection between individuals, music, and dance. It conveys a sense of unity and equality regardless of gender or race. The portraits predominantly feature people involved in music, particularly musicians. Notably, his paintings depict women enjoying and participating in music, empowering them to freely express themselves. This is especially significant considering society’s prevalent struggles with women’s self-esteem. By featuring women whose faces are concealed by their hair or looking away, the artworks encourage observers to deeply engage with the pieces and potentially confront their own inhibitions.

Moreover, the initial image in this article portrays a diverse group of individuals at a disco rink as a symbol of escaping from stress. The various styles, clothing choices, and facial expressions depicted in Garibaldi’s artwork convey the notion that people should explore new experiences, have fun, and be authentic when presenting themselves to others.

David Garibaldi, an artist who is relatively unknown, has personally mesmerized me with his artwork. Despite the abundance of renowned contemporary artists, Garibaldi has managed to capture my attention. It is plausible that he and his artwork are unfamiliar to many individuals. Like others, I had no prior knowledge of him until he made an appearance on the 2012 season of America’s Got Talent. What sets Garibaldi apart is his distinctive artistic style that seamlessly melds visual and performing art, resulting in a truly unparalleled approach to his craft. The speed at which he can complete a single art piece while still captivating viewers truly astounded me. Take a glimpse at Garibaldi Paintings.

Some individuals appreciate relatable and understandable content to maintain their interest, and I believe that David Garibaldi’s artwork captures this sentiment. The first page of this paper displays images exclusively created by Garibaldi. It is worth noting that most of the pieces chosen for the cover page incorporate themes of music and dance, which resonate with people. In my personal opinion, Garibaldi conveys a sense of equality and unity among diverse gender and race groups through his art pieces. Although he does paint various portraits, his focus is on depicting individuals connected to music, such as musicians. He portrays women enjoying and creating music, which appears to convey a message that women should be unafraid to express themselves. Many women in today’s society struggle with self-esteem, so I interpret the paintings that showcase women with their hair obscuring their faces or looking away as an invitation for viewers to contemplate identifying with the portrayed image. If this were indeed the intention, such a style could potentially inspire viewers to break out of their inhibitions. The image at the beginning of this paper, depicting a group of people at a disco rink, represents a release from stress. The diverse styles, clothing choices, and facial expressions exhibited by individuals serve as a reminder that it is important for people to venture outside, enjoy themselves, and authentically express their individuality in public spaces. In a work titled “Portrait of Christ,” the artist presents an image portraying Christ during what appears to be the culmination of his life prior to his crucifixion.

I was mesmerized when I watched the YouTube video of this artwork being created. The speed at which it was painted and the technique used to initially obscure the portrait amazed me. However, when the canvas was flipped, the true beauty and meaning of the painting were revealed. The colors used in this artwork evoked a range of emotions. The purple, blue, white, and green around Christ’s face and neckline seemed to convey the pain and suffering he endured in order to fulfill God’s will and sacrifice himself for humanity. The black areas around the eyes, frown, and tilted head portrayed sadness or prayer, as if his eyes were closed. The crown of thorns on Christ’s head, with hints of red symbolizing blood, sweat, and tears, depicted his selfless act and willingness to suffer for others. The position in which Garibaldi painted Christ reveals the artist’s passionate desire to capture a more intimate representation. The use of different colors on the canvases and the influence of music further enhance Garibaldi’s unique style and attention to detail in each brushstroke. Overall, this portrait is a magnificent work of art.Garibaldi is highly enthusiastic when he paints, as he aims to effectively convey his messages to the audience through his canvases.
