In Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, there are many characters with magical powers. Nevertheless, lots of readers think that Titania is the queen of the fairies.
Oberon and Titania rule over a magical kingdom full of fairies and other magical creatures like Puck, Peaseblossom, Cobweb, Mote and Mustardseed. This kingdom exists in a parallel universe separate from mortal men but overlapping with Athenian society.
Although some may think that Titania is queen of the fairies since she stands beside Oberon at all times, this isn’t actually true. She does not have any real power within their court; instead her role is more ceremonial than anything else. She serves mainly as an advisor to Oberon and helps him make important decisions by providing insight into matters that he may not understand or see clearly on his own. This means that while she doesn’t have any real authority herself, she still plays an important role in running their court by offering advice and support whenever needed.
In A Midsummer Night’s Dream, it is clear that though Titania stands beside him at all times, it is ultimately Oberon who holds all power within their kingdom as its king. He possesses supernatural powers including shape-shifting abilities and control over nature; he also commands respect from those around him due to his position as ruler of their realm. While Titania does not possess any real power within their court herself beyond offering advice and counsel whenever needed—her presence is still crucial for keeping things running smoothly in the fairy world!
