In Chapter 6 of Wuthering Heights, Whose Description of Thrushcross Grange Does Nelly Report?

In Chapter 6 of Wuthering Heights, Nelly reports Mr. Lockwood’s description of Thrushcross Grange. He is impressed by the size and grandeur of the Grange. Moreover, he is struck by the fact that it is so different from Wuthering Heights. Mr. Lockwood describes the Grange as being “like a palace in a fairy tale.” Nelly is also able to give a detailed description of the Grange, which she has seen herself. She describes it as being very clean and well-kept, with beautiful furniture and paintings. Nevertheless, Nelly reports that Mr. Lockwood was very pleased with the Grange and said that he would like to live there himself. So, this shows that even though the two houses are very different, they both have their own appeal.
