Globalization has both positive and negative effects on education.
The main positive effect of globalization is that it helps spread high quality education around the world. In this way, globalization can help lift people out of poverty by providing them with skills that will enable them to earn a decent income. This is especially true in countries that have not had a good history of providing free or affordable quality education for all their citizens.
It increases access for students in developed countries by making it easier for them to study abroad at universities in other countries (which can be very expensive). And it makes it easier for professors from one country to teach at universities in another country (although this may not always be desirable).
The main negative effect of globalization is that it allows for poor-quality education to make its way around the world too easily. This can happen because poor quality schools are often able to charge lower prices than good quality schools which makes them attractive options for those who cannot afford better options or who do not realize what they are getting into until after they have enrolled their children into these schools.
