In this essay will explore teachings of Romans 1-8 and what it has to say about the natural world, human identity, human relationships and culture. The Natural World Romans states God created the world (Romans 1:20). Gods people the humankind race chose to turn away from him and resent him and to worship false idols, embrace sin, and deserve death. The problem that Paul recognizes with the Natural Word is that they have chosen to worship the created things rather than the one who created them (Romans 1:20). Paul states in the origin f the fall of the natural world. Just as sin entered in this world through one man, death came through sin, because all have sinned”. (Romans 5:12) Abraham states that all the nations came into existence and salvation is available to all who believe in Christ and not by living under the law or by our deeds. Romans later explains the only purpose, that sin is illustrated through the Syntactic Covenant. Human Identity and Relationships We are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). In knowing Christ our human identity is found and knowing our true nature God will bring salvation and eternal life to all who believe.
If we refrain from wickedness we will be born again. As disciples the way we serve as instruments of his righteousness not under the law but under grace ( Romans 5-6). As humankind our sinful nature God gave us over to : muter, homosexuality, sexual immorality (shameful lust), depraved minds, envy, God haters, heartless, ruthless (Romans 1:26-31 We have things wrong with us that we can not fix, so we need Jesus to sanctify, justify, and to glorify us (Romans 8:30). Human relationships are confusing and are the hardest part of life.
Paul reminds the Romans to not judge others, God does not show favoritism s we all are sinners and God will punish all of humankind, Jews and Gentile, as He see’s necessary ( Romans 2:10). Romans 8 puts out the message of our identity that it is found in Christ call, the 8 chapter assures that our identity, is confirmed in commitment to Christ. (Romans 1 :26) “God gave them over to shameful lust, even the women exchange natural relations for unnatural ones. (27) the men also abandoned natural relations with women and lusted for another, men were committing indecent acts with other men, they received the due penalty for their perversion”.
Romans 1:26-27 clearly states hat homosexuality is not only sinful, but unnatural in the context of human relations by God. Culture There is none that understands, there is none that sheet God; they are all gone out of the way, they are together become profitable, no one doth good not one (Romans 3:9-13) He father states in (Romans 3:23) for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, We should be role model citizens and support the law as the laws are God inspired and serves as a guideline on how not to sin and to be a model for society itself, that is a ongoing theme of the New Testament.
Paul shows that the whole world is ender sin and therefore guilty, before God. All are accountable, and no one can be justified by his works or the law (Romans 3:10-20). The culture is of the Greeks and Roman and also the Barbarians, Paul met the culture where It was, He knew God was working at the church in Rome because of good reputation, He desperately wanted to be a part Of it . The message is to be preached to all regardless of sex, religion, nationality, or reorientation. This is a culture of rejoicing that Paul teaches in suffering set forth in (Romans 5:3-5).
If we are righteous and we don’t seek God then how can some of our laws in violations have moral aspects to it. We know what it right and what is wrong, the law is written on our hearts, this is why we have laws that are moral to some extent. My View After writing this essay I come to the conclusion after researching of the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and culture as a Christian and a believer, I have come to realize that every person on earth IS sinful.
We all need Jesus to turn to if we fail. We should treat others as we treat our Father in heaven, we were made in His image. We know that there is a wrong way and a right way, God wrote the law on our hearts. A man who ashes to engage in sin and knows Christ is to be cast out of the church to live in the world (I Corinthians 5-12). We have to stand up in the face of injustice, we live in a very sinful world.
