Will the Socs or Greaser ever once become semi-neutral to each other or fight each other anymore, So about Randy and Pony which are the people who think that violence will not fix anything cause you are just going to make it carry on with fighting, also the Greasers and Socs were not happy with each other. The objective that I’m going to talk about in this book is violence in the movie The Outsiders, By S.E. Hinton, Violence will never fix anything in the environment, the two people that I am talking about in the movie The Outsiders are going to be are Randy Adderson and Ponyboy Curtis.
First, some of the similarities of them in the story would be that Ponyboy and Randy were not really big fighters cause they did not fight a lot against the Socs and the Greasers and one thing Randy said about fighting was “Pony I’m thinking I not going to fight in the rumble”, Another thing that Pony and Randy were similar about was they were both sidekicks to their highest person in the gang or group, Plus some other similarities of Pony and Randy were Both Greasers and Socs were always fighting each other, Pony thought that Randy would have done the same thing by saving the kids from the church fire as he did.
Also, some of the differences in the book The Outsiders between Randy and Pony, Randy does not like using violence anymore cause it does not fix anything, another difference is Pony is more of a fighter now since the rumble has been coming up he has been more of a fighter like person, so a couple more of the differences are that Pony does not have any parents cause of a car crash, Pony turns from a Juvenile Delinquent to a hero, also Greasers have rundown clothes and Socs have high-end clothing,
Next, some of my supporting answers are Violence could cause physical injuries and my evidence is “Greasers are almost like hoods; we steal things and drive old souped-up cars and hold up gas stations and have a gang fight once in a while”. (Hinton 4), and Violence can’t fix problems and my evidence for my supporting answer is ”Us greasers usually stick together, but when we do fight among ourselves, it’s a fair fight between two”. (Hinton 27), Also another supporting answer is Violence can’t help with anything, and my evidence is “Not even Darry wanted to tangle with him. He was dangerous”. (Hinton 76).
