We will use experimental methods to test the Beachwood fruit using three groups of same number of termites there are two treatment group and one control group. The first treatment group was given Beachwood fruit (smelling arboreal) terminator and the other is given the commercially available termite terminator. We use the static group as our experimental design. In this design, two intact groups are used, but only one of them is given the experimental treatment. At the end of the treatment, both groups are observed or measured to see if there is a difference between them as a result of the treatment.
The materials used are matured Beachwood fruits, filter, strainer, test tubes, mortar and pestle, beaker and stirring rod. Gathering the materials. Gather some Beachwood fruit (smelling arboreal) and separate the matured fruits. Matured fruits are being utilized because it can be easily extracted. Preparation of the materials. Prepare all the materials that will be used such as filter to separate the solid particles from the extract, beaker to be a container of the treatments and to be a measuring device, stirring rod , mortar and pestle to pound Extraction of the sap.
Using the mortar and pestle, the Beachwood fruit was extracted. The seed was separated from the other parts of the fruit using the strainer. The Juice that was extracted from the fruit is set aside until the residue titled to the bottom of the container. Declaration. The residue is separated from the other substances using the declaration process Place it in a clean container. TREATMENT The Beachwood fruit extract that had been put into the sprayer would be given into the treatment group. There are three groups. All of the three groups were both the same kind.
The first group will be the control group and the second will be treated with the Beachwood fruit extract. Both the termite terminator will be treated to the group assigned to them in the same time. It will be observed after 1 week.Philippines is known to be a tropical country wherein we can find a lot of trees which can be used as a main material for houses and furniture.
Unfortunately, they are affected and destroyed by what we call termites which are economically destroying organism not Just in the Philippines but also with the other countries. Termites sometimes referred to as a white ant because of their pale appearance. Termites are attracted to odors of wood decay fungi that make the wood easy to penetrate (Roger et al. , 2006). This information may assist in detection and treating this pest, but it is not easy to terminate termites continuously because of the available chemical solution for this is very expensive .
Just like in the United States they spent $ 2 billion per year for the prevention and treatment. This big amount of money being spent could be reduced if we come up with the solution made from the naturally available resources. This research which aims to solve the termite infestation in our locality. We have observed that there are many people which are complaining about the termites which destroy the structures of their houses that are mainly made up of woods. Termites seem to be uncontrollable and continuously destroying our houses and furniture without being noticed, added the factor of its fast growing population over time.
That’s why we come up using Beachwood fruit (smelling arboreal) as a termite terminator. Beachwood seed has the component of arboreal and preferable which we believe to terminate termite. METHODOLOGY This study aims to terminate termites by the use of Beachwood fruit (smelling arboreal). We used experimental methods to test the Beachwood fruit using three groups of same number of termites. There were two treatment group and one control orientation and the other was given the commercially available termite terminator. We used the static group as our experimental design.
In this design, two intact groups are used, but only one of them is given the experimental treatment. At the end of the treatment, both groups are observed or measured to see if there is a difference between them as a result of the treatment. PROCEDURE: The materials used are matured Beachwood fruits, filter, strainer, test tubes, mortar and pestle, beaker and stirring rod. Gathering the materials. Matured Beachwood fruit (smelling arboreal) were gathered and separated. Matured fruits are utilized because it can be easily extracted. Preparation of the materials.
Prepare all the materials that will be used such as filter to separate the solid particles from the extract, beaker to be a container pound the matured Beachwood fruit. Extraction of the sap. Mortar and pestle was used in extracting the Beachwood fruit sap. The seed was separated from the other parts of the fruit using the strainer. The Juice that was extracted from the fruit was set aside until the residue settled to the bottom of the container. Declaration. The residue was separated from the other substances using he declaration process. It was then placed it in a clean container.
DATA ANALYSIS The Beachwood fruit extract that had been put into the sprayer would be given into the treatment group. There are three groups. All of the three groups were both the same kind.
