The silk road was very important in many ways, it help spread religion, and was spreadBuddhismTangspread Buddhism main trading route of silk and other objects, the route was all over for it was an important route during the 500 and 1500 C.E. Many people were greatly impacted by this route that connected the east and west.
The silk road develops in 500 b.c. and spreaded buddhism. Buddhism later arrives in china in 100 a.d. and is preached as the new religion, it greatly spreads and inspires hope and belief. Buddhism established itself as a domineering force within china and starts to move to Japan. Later the tang dynasty is born but Buddhism remains on top. The silk road was a great way for people to spread their religion to people from all around the silk road. Such as the Christian missionaries brought Christianity to china and soon gets bigger as more people know about it. Although many religions were getting bigger some fell, and the tang dynasty collapsed. The Chinese government thought it was because all the power was going to Buddhism. China later decides to close china from all foreign influence. In 907 a.d. china made up its mind and banned foreign religions. Different religions were being spread all over thanks to the Silk Road that allowed people to travel such long distances.
The silk road was a trading route, it connects the east and west. Silk was the main trade taken place on this route because it symbolizes wealth and many places did not know how to make it. Rome discovers the existence of silk through a battle with the Persians and they showed a lot of interest in silk. Later silk farms Xi’ancreated in central Asia. Many trades happened on this route the Chinese exported spices, tea, sugar, and salt. Back then salt was very valuable to people whereas nowadays it’s easy to access and almost everyone has it. Wool, gold, and silver were traded using the silk road as well. Gold,wool and silver went east while silk went west and partially everywhere. Expensive luxury goods were mainly traded because it was long trips and a lot of merchants did not have much room for many goods. Nowadays there are faster ways to export good like trains and boats.
The silk road is the oldest trade route. It beliefs from chang’an also known as xi’an today, to western china, central AsiaEurope, and also to europe. It helped with communication, culture than where, and business. Silk road exported paper and art as well. The route was a great way to share and get to know other cultures and places then just were you lived, people would travel using this route. The road provided the vehicle for creative exchange between cultures and diverse people. Since the main trade wathes silk on this road it lead to communication and partnership amount people, there were easier ways to learn different cultures and a better way to do everyday things. The silk road help more than we ever will know for these watches and they were forever changed by this trading route. The trading route faded as to their are better and easier ways but now it is a tourist route with history from way back. This route was just the beginning of trade and travel among people all over.
That is why the Silk Road grew more important because of the trade and the spread of different religions and belief and was a great traveling system that spreadedspreadfor different objects and styles all around. Today it’s an important landmark and touring site. It is no longer used the way it did back then but it is a great resource to how they traded back then. We now have many different ways and routes we use to export items from place to place.
