Malalas Journey on Education
Malala is a activist who fights for girls education. When she was in Pakistan she was shot by the Taliban for sticking up for girls education. She worked really had n trying to get her point heard and most people heard it. She has made books and done other things to get the problem with girls education heard
Malala and the Taliban
Malala has been sticking up for girls education for a long time and with this comes people who want t stop her when she was 15 she was shot by the Taliban and was sent to the hospital. She was flown out to Queen Elizabeth hospital to get treated. She recovered after — months. She eventually got back to school but remained in England. Malala is currently 22 years old after recovering and then continuing her journey on helping all girls get an education.
Malala has always been a hard worker. She has gone to many protest and even worked through getting shot. Malala spoke at the youth takeover of the United Nations she said”I don’t know where to begin my speech. I don’t know what people would be expecting me to say. But first of all, thank you to God for whom we all are equal and thank you to every person who has prayed for my fast recovery and a new life. I cannot believe how much love people have shown me. I have received thousands of good wish cards and gifts from all over the world. Thank you to all of them. Thank you to the children whose innocent words encouraged me. Thank you to my elders whose prayers strengthened me.”

Malala is a hard worker and has persevered through a lot. She continues to work hard to make sure every girl gets and education.
Malala works hard to fix the problem but the problem still continues. Girls education is a problem all over the world many girls are out of school and there are many causes to that. Family’s are at risk forcing people out of school. The BBC has done research about 10 places that struggle with education the most.
BBC.com has provided this information about 10 country’s That struggle with education. Number 1 is South Sudan. South Sudan has been facing violence and many family’s have been forced to leave their homes leaving 3/4 of the girls out of primary school. Next would be Central African Republic. They don’t have enough teachers to teach all the kids. That leaves 80 students for 1 teacher. In Niger only 17% of girls are literate from ages 15-24 in Afghanistan boys get the chance to go to school before girls so not many girls are in school. Number 5 is chad. They have social and economic barriers preventing girls from getting an education. In Mali only 38% of the girls that live there make it through primary school. Or girls over the age of 25 in Guinea, the average Time in school is less than a year. Only 1% of girls in Burkina Faso finish secondary school. In Liberia almost 2/3 of the people that should be in primary school aren’t. In Ethiopia every two and five girls are married before the age of 18 crushing any chance of them getting in education.
The UN has done some research on these 10 countries and found out that even though there’s 600 million kids in schools in those 10 countries they have learned really close to nothing and we’ve made “almost zero progress”.
A report stated that with over 130 million girls out of school the world has lost over “130 million possible engineers, entrepreneurs, teachers, and politicians that could have changed the world” most of the education lost is because of poverty, ill health, nutrition, and displacement from war and conflict.
Girls education has been a problem for a long time and it’s a problem that needs to be fixed. Based on the information we have received we haven’t made any progress and we have to do something to fix the problem.
