Ralph represents the civilized side of human nature.
Ralph is a boy who is able to see the bigger picture and knows that if they don’t work together, they will all die. He also fights against savagery and barbarism by trying to get his group to act like civilized people. He represents the hope for rescue and return to society.
Ralph shows us how important it is for people to cooperate with each other in order to achieve a common goal. He gives us an example of how people can overcome difficult situations if they work together instead of fighting against each other. We see this when Ralph tries to convince Jack that they should all work together rather than fight against each other over who gets what food or water supply.
When Ralph talks about how some things are better than others, he’s telling us that there should be some kind of order or structure in society so that everyone has access to food and water supplies without having to fight each other over them.”
