Detailed answer:

Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian polymath who was born in 1452, in Vinci, Italy. He was a noted architect, musician, anatomist, inventor, sculptor and engineer. Da Vinci is best known as a painter; his most famous works are “The Last Supper” and “Mona Lisa.” Da Vinci was a true renaissance man whose interests and skills spanned a wide range of disciplines such as architecture, music and painting. A left-handed painter, he often used mirror writing—a technique in which he wrote backwards so that he could read it himself —in his notes. Leonardo da Vinci, who was left-handed and often wrote backwards in mirror script, was also an inventor who designed a flying machine and a tank. He died on May 2, 1519 at the age of 67 in Amboise, France. In 1863 his remains were exhumed and his body was found to have numerous anatomical anomalies: extra ribs; a webbed foot; deformed fingers; and an oddly shaped skull. In 2017, Da Vinci paintings sold at auction for a combined total of over $450 million. A new Leonardo da Vinci museum is set to open in Vinci, Italy in 2019.
