What is the history of three kings?
In Western Christianity, the feast commemorates principally (but not solely) the visit of the Magi to the Christ Child, and thus Jesus’ physical manifestation to the Gentiles. According to traditions, this feast is called the Day of Three Kings. But among the people, more commonly known as the Little Christmas. This celebration is named in some branches of Christianity as the beginning of the worship period.
Epiphany is celebrated 12 days after Christmas on 6th January (or January 19th for some Orthodox Church who has Christmas on 7th January) and is the time when Christians remember the Wise Men (also sometimes called the Three Kings) who visited Jesus. Epiphany is also when some Churches remember when Jesus was Baptised when he was about 30 and started to teach people about God.
Some Churches celebrate use Epiphany to celebrate and remember both the visit of the Wise Men and Jesus’s Baptism! Epiphany is mainly celebrated by Catholics and Orthodox Christians. It’s a big and important festival in Spain, where it’s also known as ‘The festival of the Three Magic Kings’ – ‘Fiesta de Los tres Reyes Mages’, and is when Spanish and some other Catholic children receive their presents – as they are delivered by the Three Kings!
The Game Kings
Taking place daily during the first week of January, this family-friendly event invites everyone to help celebrate a cherished tradition based on the Christian story of the Three Wise Men. For many Christians, the holiday season doesn’t end until Three Kings Day, also known as Epiphany, and is celebrated around the world in many ways. Known in Central and South America as ‘El Dia de Los Reyes Magos’, Seaworld will mark this festive occasion with a raft of enchanting Latin-American traditions.
Guests can enjoy extended opportunities to see the classic SeaWorld Christmas Celebration shows ‘O Wondrous Night’ and ‘Sea of Trees’. There’ll also be a daily Three Kings Parade featuring an array of Biblical characters and animals as they spread holiday cheer before taking the stage for a themed photo opportunity. In honor of the cherished tradition of Latin cultures, families are invited to help us commemorate the arrival of the Three Wise Men as only SeaWorld can. SeaWorld’s Three Kings Celebration is included with park admission and begins at 11 a.m. daily, Jan. 1 – 6, continuing through park close.

Join the Three Wise Men at a live nativity scene depicting the arrival of the Three Kings. A storyteller will share the tale of their journey and the traditions of the Three Kings holiday to park guests. This presentation, featuring live animals, will take place several times throughout the day and offer a truly special photo opportunity for park guests.
Christmas food
Food connoisseurs can enjoy Latin-inspired dishes and drinks prepared exclusively for SeaWorld’s Three Kings Celebration. Menu items include papas rellenas (fried stuffed potatoes), empanadas (cheese, chicken or beef) and bacalao (codfish fritters). Libations include frozen sangria and coquitos.
O Wondrous Night
Hear the greatest story never told with over 30 carols, life-size puppets and live animals in this signature show that will charm, entertain and delight people from all walks of life. Lots of singing, special effects, and incredible lighting enhance this production and holiday spirit. It’s a live nativity that only SeaWorld can bring to life.

SeaWorld Orlando is hosting the Latin inspired celebration of Three Kings Day. Bringing Cherished Traditions and Festive Cuisine to Orlando. Bask in the Holiday spirit just a little while longer as the Three Kings Celebration at SeaWorld Orlando Returns. It begins January 1st, 2019 and fun continues through January 6th.

The event features favorites from SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration and the addition of several new experiences centered around the Epiphany.

Special Holiday Feast at Sharks Underwater Grill. For traditional Latin holiday, dishes visit SeaWorld’s premier full-service restaurant, Sharks Underwater Grill. With an event-exclusive menu featuring roasted pork with onion mojo Arroz con gandules, pasteles and fried tostones garnished with mayo ketchup. For dessert, a house-made flan drizzled with caramel. While most of the holiday festivities at SeaWorld Orlando wrap up at the end of December, the Sea of Trees and O Wondrous Night will both continue at the park through the end of the 3 Kings Day celebration.

But on January 6th each year, people in Spanish-speaking countries, as well as many Christian nations throughout the world, celebrate Three Kings Day, paying tribute to The Three Wise Men who traveled from far-off lands to see the Baby Jesus and present him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
This Christian holiday is also known as the Epiphany, which means “an appearance or manifestation,” because Jesus Christ, the Son of God, manifested himself in the form of a newborn baby to The Three Wise Men. To keep the Christmas spirit alive a few days longer into the New Year, SeaWorld announced they were offering this special six-days-only occasion, with the Three Kings Processional as the main event. A lively and historic event
According to the SeaWorld description, guests would follow The Three Wise Men to a live nativity scene. The processional would also feature storyteller and live animals. This processional would take place several times throughout the day. What we expected is that we would follow the Three Wise Men and some camels in a slow procession around the park, maybe with some music as we processed, then ending in a nativity show on a stage set up somewhere. This was not the case by a long shot.
The Three Kings Processional happened three times that day, and we made the last showing at 2:30 p.m. We entered the park just past 2:15 p.m. and literally speed-walked from the entrance to the back of the park to the Nautilus Theater, where the “starting point” of the Processional was stated to be. When we got there, there were a couple of hundred people standing around a small cordoned-off area in front of the Nautilus Theater. Though we got there just before the Processional started, we were able to squeeze in to get a good view. At promptly 2:30, we saw a couple of Nativity-Esque costumed people walk in holding a sign that said “Three Kings Celebration.” I am not sure where they came from, but it was not the procession that I expected.
Learn Spanish
I know many people felt excluded and/or simply did not care to listen to something they did not understand because they left the show early. It would be best and more culturally inclusive to translate each sentence into English as she was saying it, instead of speaking in Spanish for long periods without translating for non-Spanish-speakers. That way, we can all take part in the festivities and understand the real meaning behind the Three Kings Celebration! By the way, The Three Kings do not speak at all during the show. They just stand there, except for the part when they each step forward, one at a time, to show the crowd their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.An international event.
The whole show takes ten minutes. The rest of the time is spent on extras such as taking photos with the three kings, eating, and more. You have to wait a long time for the three kings to be photographed. Because of almost an hour after the show, the three kings come in between the spectators and you have the opportunity to take pictures with them. But it’s not so simple. Because many tourists from all over the world have come here. From Asia like China, or Europe like Spain.
