To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, I think this novel is a very well written memoir. The story follows and captivates the live of a young Jean Louise Finch, also known as Scout. I really enjoyed reading this novel. One of the major themes in this book is innocence, particularly the Innocence In Scout. The book is set when she is around 6 years of age, so it’s showing Scout’s discovery of the real world. She’s oblivious to many things around her Like the racial

Issues In society. Her innocence represents a rare thing, even though she learns the hard truth as she grows older, she still remains a pure and precious young girl. Her Innocence shows a different perspective In the story because It’s looked through the eyes of a little girl, not an adult, so we get the sense of what Scout Is feeling as we read the book. This book has many golden lines and memorable quotes. One of my favorite line from Tactics was when he was talking to scout about Walter Cunningham.
