For example, she makes an effort to get to know each employee individually by gaining knowledge about their personal lives such as likes, dislikes, hobbies, and family life front the point of hiring the employee (J. P., personal communication, March 23, 2014). She also promotes and encourages her unit employees to function as a team not as individuals (J. P., personal communication, March 23, 2014).
