On the 16th of December. 1971 they surrendered their weaponries to the Joint Command at a ceremonial in Dhaka. Therefore after long nine months of slaughter. the War of Liberation came to an terminal and Bangladesh achieved freedom from the brutal Pakistanis. In fact. it was the victory of justness over dictatorship.
