After World War II, everyone was struggling with money and most manufactures were beginning to get ready to begin advertising and selling consumer goods once again. Advertising agencies begun to make deals with these manufactures to begin broadcasting aids across all forms of media, television, radio etc. New beginnings arose when CBS begun demonstrating a color system for television but during this time, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) was giving all of its priorities to the radio industry and dealing with licensing for radio shows, so upstarting TV broadcasting companies basically started all out wars with each other to see who would have the better program.

During this time, you started to see presidential elections with radio and the television. Imagine watching a rival of yours announce their nomination on live television, it changes the whole entire playing field. Harry Truman even begun to listen to the radio in the middle of the night to see what the people of America would think of him, hearing what the people really wanted and not just some lies being feed by the television industries. After all this, the introduction of nominations on radios/tv’s, it would change everything forever.

The Korean War caused a weird shift in the television industry, at the start of the war, a so called “freeze” begun in television. Where nothing would be aired/made unless it had to deal with the war. This time gave the television industry opportunities to experiment with different styles and such. Television stations weren’t popular unless you lived in big cities like Los Angeles or New York City. So, the industry took a hit during this time, but all the free time experiment on new ideas actually proved beneficial when they started back up again, plus with the help of new advertising techniques.

Around the mid 1950’s, problem arose in the television industry, there was a major rise of film unions, film staff feeling like they weren’t being treated correctly, by traveling all the time and being separated from their families were hard for themselves. So, these major industries begun making regional film crews, depending where you lived/worked, you only had to worry about filming in that area, so there were many people all over the United States and the world filming many different things at the same time. Which then started the problem with everyone producing the same story but with different views and facts about such subject.

Then came globalization in television, where the United States was making themselves be known by the whole entire planet because of the improvements of American television broadcasting. Everyone around the globe begun to watch American made stations like the CIA channel, the Armed Forces Radio/TV, etc. By doing this, American news was spread out to countries in Europe, Asia, etc. Which made the whole world react to events that happened in the United States. It was very important to these American made organizations get their points shown across the world.
