Judaism is based completely on important and substantial ethical beliefs of monotheism. Ethical Monotheism ultimately results in belief in a singular god who establishes a system of moral values and principles. In essence, this is what makes Judaism unique; it is the only religion that has solid religious ethics with strong monotheistic beliefs, yet it is almost incredible how other religions, such as Christianity and Islam, are branches of Judaism and they are astoundingly more popular.
Additionally, proper beliefs in god and the reliant way he created the world, genuine ethics, and rituals, are more of the ethical monotheistic beliefs that Judaism apart from other religions. The controversial idea of how the world was created and the notion of god itself remains unclear to many until today. However, few religions such as Judaism, Islam, and Christianity understand god to be the ultimate and omnipotent being in the universe, subsequently leading to how the world was really created.
For example, Jews believe that god is one and will always be one. He is the source of life for everything in this world, he is eternally omnipresent, and he is the one who created the world. The Islamic race, more or less, agrees on this; they believe that god is one and he created the world. Nonetheless, the Christians acknowledge god to be one, but they insist on believing god bore a son who was perfectly human yet perfectly god at the same time: Jesus.
This is precisely what makes Judaism different from other religions; they always, and always have, believed in one god, unlike the distorted view of the Christians. This eventually leads to the rituals and traditions a religion is based upon. Every religion includes in it many yearly, and sometimes daily, rituals that ill express gratitude or praise to god. For example, in Judaism there are three main festivals or holidays where a Jewish male must go to the Temple to offer sacrifices to god.
Similarly, the Muslims practice Ramadan, a month long series of fasting, and Christians have multiple yearly holidays as well such as X-Mass and Halloween. However, even though all religions do practice some kind of tradition or practice, there is one distinction in Judaism. Judaism believes that, for example, when one brings a sacrifice they become closer and more connected with god. The Christians on the other hand practice hose holidays for other purposes, and not precisely for this matter. This, again, leads into the ethics of a religion.
Ethics in Judaism may be one of the most powerful reasons why it sets itself apart from other religions. For instance, Jews believe that in the Torah there are the substantial commandments that moral ethics and behavior is key. This is what the Ten Commandments are based completely on. In fact, Jews believe that one is supposed to enjoy life, but in the proper ethics and moral beliefs that guide one. However, the Muslims believe that one is strictly supposed to submit themselves to god, and they do not always have the roper ethics within themselves as well.
The key idea; Jews have proper ethics of behavior and morality to guide themselves in life, while Muslims have ethics to keep themselves away from immorality, and remain submissive to their god. In the end, we are left with three monotheistic “giants,” Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Christians believe that there can and is a human for a god, which ultimately eliminates itself from being a complete monotheistic religion even though they do maintain some proper ethics. Islam believes that ethics are to be kept to keep one from acting immorally and stay complete with god.
This also eliminates them from being an ethical monotheistic religion as they do not properly use the ethics they are given in the correct manner. We are now left with Judaism: Judaism is, in essence, the only religion which is able to make proper use of ethics to serve god and enjoy life. They do not believe in god in human form, nor will they ever. They practice meaningful rituals yearly and daily for the correct purposes. This is what makes Jews the unique culture they are today. To conclude, Judaism was, is and always will be the true ethical monotheistic religion.
