For years, the United States has been a country that has opportunities and freedom. But however, American has only proven that this promised land is not how many residents viewed it to be. Issues like the death penalty, assisted suicide and abortion. Abortion is something that is overlooked and has not been given the proper attention it should be. This word has a controversial topic in the political, religious and medical world since the 19th century and until now, it still a question in each person. This has been proven to be one of the more unshakable issues that have been brought to be a controversy to the US. Abortion is the ending of a pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo before the baby can survive outside the uterus.

Abortions have been done using herbal medicines, sharp tools or through other traditional methods. In 1973 a landmark decision was made by the United States Supreme Court that criminalized or restricted access to abortions. Because of this case from the year 1973 to 2005, millions of women had legal abortions. To avoid public protestants and to make this a “better” cause to this issue, the government of Nebraska Republican Gov. Dave Heineman signed both very specific bills, one barring abortions at and after 20 weeks of pregnancy and the other requiring women to be screened before having abortions for mental health and other problems. If women really knew what happens to the baby during an abortion, I don’t think they would consider doing it. Medical physicians use a Sopher clamp to grasp an arm or leg, then they pull the limbs hard which is tearing them off the baby’s body. The baby’s head is grasp and crushed and the brain substance comes out through the cervix.

In my opinion, women rather have their baby body parts breaking inside them, have a risk of infection and etc rather than having an adoption and giving someone who really wants a child. The person who will suffer the most is the abortionist and the mother herself, she will not only lose her child that was wrongfully killed, she’ll be putting her own life at risk as well. Many people believe that allowing abortion goes directly against the women’s right as their moments of conception. Why is this statement believable? Based on the Declaration of Independence, which states: “All men are created equal, that are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these lives and the pursuit of happiness. Which means that allowing abortion is specifically illegal.

Because once a woman has gone through an abortion, this woman has just taken away this baby’s right to live as he or she deserves to a stated in the Declaration of Independence. Pro-choice include potential mothers and the government, while pro-life include anti-abortion movements. In conclusion, despite the controversial conversation in our society, abortion should not be sanctioned in order to maintain financial stability.
